Bonham - No chance with the goal but solid throughout 7.5
J. Clarke- maybe harsh but poor headed clearance and than didn't recover to pick up his man led to their goal. Defended well otherwise but got a ticking off from Bonham 6 Lockyer Good game, won lots in the air and on the floor, a couple of times there was poor communications with Craig which resulted in a player being left free. 7 Craig Tough,I accept he cant pass or cross(the time he went forward) but no centre forwrd enjoys playing aginst him. 7
Partington First game for a while. Won his fair share in the air but he didnt have the best of games. I would like to see him slotted in at full back and given a chance to regain the form of last year. 6 O. Clarke was all over the pitch, fantastic goal still needs to work on his passing that at times sees the ball given up too easily. But the pick of the midfield today. 8.5 Upson He looks on the verge of being a great player for us. He works hard excellent football skills, wins the ball but his final pass needs to be better, shooting was weak but overall played well. 8 Ogogo wins the ball so well and covers alot of ground. Not great to watch but effective. 7 Holmes-Dennis One moment of premiership skills to beat two men going into the box, he really is a good footballer, is he a good enough defender or maybe better in midfield 7
Reilly Chased hard, had a one on one with the keeper but fluffed it, should not be starting. 5 Clarke-Harris Tried too hard and it showed, overplayed the ball and dropped too deep in positions in which he was not effective 6.5
Subs: Rodman again looked promising coming off the bench, so why didn't he start? 7 Jakubiak did very little and looks as likely to score as Nichols. 6 Sercombe Looked busy, he is a quality player that we need to have playing to his full potential. 7

Was easily one of our top performers yesterday bossing the midfield with OC and a 3 for Reilly who didn’t stop running all afternoon was getting in behind there defenders and causing problems

Shocking ground to try and watch football at this level made worse by stewards standing in your way. Our team seemed to be set up 3-5-2,to try and counteract their physical height and hit them on the break.
Bonham 6, looked uncomfortable with crosses at times, had no chance with their goal.
J Clarke 6, had a few doggy moments but generally handled their physical approach. Lockyer 6.5, won more than his fair share of headers against their big striker. Craig 5.5, showed grit and looked up for the battle, but lacked quantity when on the ball.
Partington 4, it must be hard to come in having not played for a few weeks but he was poor and for one so tall he doesn't use his height to great effect. O Clarke, 8 our best player and showed you don't need to be large and a bruiser to play at this level. Great goal. Upson 7, tried to assist and support Clarke but doesn't quite have his quality. Ogogo,7 as above. Holmes-Dennis 7, you get glimpses of his quality but not consistently enough, hopefully a good pre season and we'll see the best of him next season.
Reilly 8.5, (extra point to offset and annoy other posters) Looked to get in behind their defence and never give them peace which is probably what Coughlan would have wanted. Maybe should have scored but having seen it again on TV, it's a very good save from the keeper. Carke-Harris 6, just didn't quite look up for it and nowhere near his recent form, give the ball away regularly. Kept drifting out wide left when we could have done with him more centrally. Maybe he'd worked out he wasn't getting the better of their Cab's
Rodman 5, looked lovely when he came on. Jakubiak 4, he'll be going back to Watford in the summer so I would be hopping we give Deon Moore the opportunity of some first team game time between now and the end of the season. Sercombe 4, where's the player from last season?
What is it with this team, crosses and set pieces? We were so wasteful and woeful on Friday. Not one decent corner delivered and I lost count of the number of times we got into good positions and there was no end product. I know the team wasn't set up for it and hopefully this will be addressed in the summer but we really need to move the ball forward and wide far quicker.
Good point against a team on a run with a bit of form, roll on Tomorrow.

Results in and Ollie Clarke was Man of the Match with a score of 8.08
This was Ollie's 15th MotM in these threads, taking him level with Lines in third place for most overall MotMs. Only Lockyer (25) and Harrison (20) have more.
This was the 250th Player Rating thread on this forum (227 league, 3 play-off and 20 cup). There have be 2753 ratings in that time from 161 unique posters.
This may have been the most average games of those 250 though. The starting XI average was 6.36, meaning that for the first time ever Rovers, the opposition, the ref and crowd all scored between 6 and 7. The crowd average wasn't recorded in the Conference season and two games (Woking and Dover both at home) did score between 6 and 7 for all of the other categories.
Bonham 6.4
J. Clarke 6.2 Lockyer 6.9 Craig 6.6
Partington 4.8 O. Clarke 8.1 Upson 7.0 Ogogo 6.5 Holmes-Dennis 6.2
Reilly 5.3 Clarke-Harris 6.1
Subs: Rodman 6.0 Jakubiak 5.6 Sercombe 6.0
