Now I know a lot of you will be frowning at the reading of a players facebook, but I thought this was very interesting. Thought some of you might too...
First he posted this:
And after a lot of support, and a few rants, he added this:
Ignoring his questionable spelling, I thought it was a very well put post....

I agree with him and good to see we have some honest players amongst our ranks. Completely different to the likes of Coles offering to meet our fans in the car park.

I like everything about Lee Brown and he is one of Hugo the Youngers favorites too.
The problem is, we havent hit top form for about 3 or 4 seasons!
I said elsewhere, its not the end of the world and it was a bad day at the office but we desperately need to start hitting top form soon.

He's bang on, really. Spoke to Lee when he came into my work earlier on the season, he was spot on about what we spoke about then and he is now too. Massive overreactions by the fanbase won't be doing anyone any good.

Lee is a really nice guy. His heart is firmly in the right place.

Is he on about the fans reaction at the game or on social media ? Out of line to post abuse to players especially as they are playing for the shirt this season finally.
That aside people are bound to moan a bit after a defeat and people often overreact to a bit of sounding off.

If you thought the forums were bad you should see some of the insane comments they write. Kind of blows that anonymity argument out of the water.

No i just use facebook for family and friends. Abusing our own players at games or on social media is out of line. I know i like a rant about how the club is run but the forums feel the safe place to do it as its fans debating (or trying to) with fans.
This season we seem more of a collective unit with the players and should keep it that way as you feel connected.

To be fair, most on here have been pretty reasonable.

Why would people go on Facebook to abuse Lee though? He's one of our best and most consistent players. He very rarely makes a mistake and always does well on our match ratings. Some people really are strange.

Agree with his comments but not sure how wise he is to get involved with any sort of altercation in the public domain. Has the potential to go very wrong.

Do you think players read forums too ? I never consider this format to be interactive with players. They read us. Yep I think Virgo also confirmed this in one of his Twitter Q&As. For what it is worth, I think Brown has come across well in this post. He is obviously frustrated by the result and by some fans reactions but he hasn't crossed any line by writing this. What he has said seems completley true about getting really high and really low. When we went on a good run, we were going to get promoted or at least make the play offs. One defeat against a good side in this league when we probably deserved a draw despite playing a 3rd of the game with 10 min and all of a sudden the players are rubbish, Clarke is rubbish and we are going to be stuck in this league for ages. Everyone acknowledges there is room for improvement.

We have been winning despite not performing that well and whilst that is the sign of a good team its also more likely to result in moans when we lose. Just let people express themseleves as long as its reasonable as all this talk over bandwagons and fans wanting us to lose is over complicating fans being watered off after a defeat.
