Brighton have sacked Chris Hughton. Something that imo sums up the idiocy of some owners.
What do Brighton realistically expect to achieve over than survival in the top flight? They've not exactly invested in top quality signings have they?
They are owned by a professional poker player, so maybe he's used to taking risks. If they needed a reason to stick with CH they should have looked no further than Ipswich, who have nosedived since sacking big mick, after years of stableised second tier football.

Radio 5 reporting that the Swansea manager is favourite. Wonder if that have a knock on effect for Tom Lockyer, assuming that rumour is also true.

It seems harsh on the face of it, but many said the same when Southampton sacked Adkins and replaced him with Pochettino. If they go and tempt a Marcello Gallardo, a Paulo Fonseca or a Mark Van Bommel type of manager it could turn out to be masterstroke, but whether it is the right or wrong decision, only time will tell.

I think they must already have somebody lined up for the job. What's Mark Hughes doing nowadays
