We had better start looking over our shoulders as Tranmere won tonight. It’s not over yet. If they win five in a row we might have to start looking over our shoulder.

Shrewsbury must be really poor to lose at home to Tranmere. With Shrewsbury, Southend, Sunderland, Ipswich & Peterborough coming up next we need to pick up at least 1 win against Shrews & Southend, otherwise we will most likely find ourselves 6 without a win and 10 man Blackpool would have been just a lucky blip. I fear the latter is already true, but still wanting to hold out hope that we’re not as useless as I think we are

There is more chance of us getting a new stadium than that happening. I can’t believe that people still think we are in danger of going down! It will all be put to bed come 5pm on Saturday after our taming of the shrew.

Think some people are confused between something being 'mathematically possible' as opposed to being 'realistically possible'. It was mathematically possible Liverpool, Manchester City and Man United would get relegated when this season started but it was never realistically going to happen. It's still mathematically possible for Everton to finish 2nd in the prem, again not realistic. For us to be relegated it would mean us not even getting the odd point in our remaining games and numerous clubs below going on great runs which is again not very realistic.

Seems like Tranmere fans have found out we were right. Just like Pompey fans were right about Bennett. Just like Torquay fans were right about Buckle. Just like Walsall were right about Leahy. More often than not it is worth listening to fans from other clubs when majority of the fan base are saying the same thing. I think you're a bit confused over the whole Walsall-Leahy thing. No one was saying Walsall fans were wrong and that they didn't know their own player. I think most people realise that the broad sway of fan opinion, in the round, can be pretty reliable, what they were saying was support your new signings and see how they get on, give them a chance and see for yourself, don't just turn on them on the say so of potentially disgruntled fans, don't just write them off before they arrive. Make your own mind up. Have more of an opinion than just 'Walsall fans say this!!' In any case players can get on better at other clubs, see JCH who was written off by a number of Coventry fans. Honestly, you should let this one go instead of obsessing over him. And, to be fair, he's done ok. It's not like he's another Payne or Bennett. My general point and post wasn't about Leahy. It's about we should listen and respect other teams views rather than completely dismiss them out of hand. I was guilty of this myself with Buckle and Torquay.

Teams do always pick up towards the end of the season tbf, but that would have to be pretty spectacular. If we were a couple of places above with the points difference I would be more worried, but there are a lot of teams between us.
Still, I can see us finishing 16th-18th by the end of the season.

March is nearly all 6 pointers for Tranmere, none of them look any harder than Shrewsbury.

Sunderland aren't mathematically safe, yet.
