No idea? We've signed enough players this summer to suggest that we're not about to become the next Bury/Bolton.

Is he the new James Constable? Seems a drawn out deal

Fleetwood and Portsmouth were also interested in Liam Scales but he is keen to come to us. What was described as a minor point was pushed upstairs and the deal seems to have stalled, with the club saying nothing . This is no way for our club to treat an up and coming player looking to make a career in the game and it does not demonstrate administrative competence .

Is he the new James Constable? Seems a drawn out deal I’ve given up with this one, it seems to have been going on longer than coronation street!

I’m starting to feel sorry for the lad.
First insight into English professional football and he’s already being f*cked about.

Probably more down to £££'s than competence given we seem to have signed Victor w/o any similar issues.

That is a lot of internal knowledge. If he is being d#cked about by us, he has other options according to you.

Yes and that is an understatement, are we offering Liam a future or not - why are we messing him and UCD about. Our senior white collar employees seem unable to make a yes or no decision. The club needs to employ people who can make a decision, and not inflict their inaction on a young player. Whatever the outcome regarding Liam's future I suggest the senior employee responsible for keeping him and UCD in the dark is sacked without privileges. Finally after Liam has signed or not signed an apology should most certainly be made to the player and UCD

"We'd agreed a deal in principle but the CEO claimed he'd made an Eire in the wage. He'd said the wage bill was Dublin when it should be coming Down. I was looking to go to Rovers to b-Ulster their chances of promotion and I was pre-Taoiseach'd when it fell through. Perhaps the club was better run when they were owned by the bloke that owned that Derry? Graham Coughlan's done a great job since coming in as Antrim Manager and it's a real shame I can't work with him. I think the most frustrating thing for me is we had agreed a provision, real and finally continuity deal. I'm really IRAte." - Liam Scales

UCD Manager says that it’s not fair on Scales. www.extratime.ie/articles/23349/collie-oneill-admits-bristol-rovers-radio-silence-not-fair-on-the-ireland-under-21-defender/Come on Rovers wake up and make a decision. Last season we procrastinated about signing a striker the process seemed to be a fiasco and eventually SP not the intended first choice signed very "late in the day" which didn't work out for the player or the club. At mid season we signed a striker just before the deadline, it appeared to require a monumental effort by the manager to get this one over the line just in time. This turned out to be a fabulous signing, the player kept us up. Traditionally Rovers have always signed young talented players looking to establish careers in the Football league, Barry Hayles, Jason Roberts and Nathan Ellington all went on to establish themselves in the Premier League. However in the case of Liam Scales current senior white collar members of the club have been rather good at managing "RADIO SILENCE", which is a despicable way to behave towards the player. An attitude change is required within the club, this potential signing has not been managed at all well.

Interestingly the term "white collar" has only been used in 9 threads since 2014, but multiple times here. Anyway, just thought it was interesting 😁
