At this point I find DC's faith in Taylor disturbing. There is no better time to give White a game than this, especially after he scored against Gloucester City the other day. I would also put money on Balanta never playing a game for us. Worrying for me. Gotta be his last chance to prove himself, but I wish he'd give White a try. Will be interesting to see who Ellis does so he is trying stuff I guess |

Hopefully Harrison will come up with the goods , I think he's stuck with Taylor in the hope he can score a goal or two - give him some confidence to go on a run.

I think starting Taylor is the right move. A goal or two today could really kickstart his season. It is a gutsy move from Clarke when most of the fanbase disagree. Putting faith in a player when things are not going 100% could be good man-management. He's also giving Harrison a big chance to go out and show what he's made of today. With Cunningham not playing it looks like we're going to have to pass it on the floor today, which must be a good thing. Come on the Gas!!

No Season ticket holder and been to most away games. Saw him miss a sitter at Southport and elsewhere. Just getting fed up of seeing our so called strikers missing sitters week after week. Believe me Taylor is not a good striker, I agree he works hard but there is a lot more to being a striker than running around a lot!

I think Clarke starting Taylor is a better decision than Rodgers starting Balotelli against Hull today. And Rodgers managed a club to 2nd place in the premier league last season.

I'll second that call for give Matty time... for as long as i can remember forums, fan's opinions and shouts have been get rid of the journeymen picking up the easy wages at Rovers,"All we ask is a player gives 100%" was the regular call.
Well, we may not have superstars, but we've now got what we all wanted a team of workers who wear the shirt like it means something.
Do we want more goals? Of course we bloody do, but guaranteed goalscorers don't grow on trees and don't play in the Conference, if we want the right one that ticks all the boxes we're gonna have to be patient, just like we should be with Matty Taylor, who knows he may just evolve into that 20 goal a season player we want.
