If we don't make any further signings, then the younger players are really going to have to step up to the plate this season. That must be a good thing surely? Only if they are good enough to step up? |

If no Craig means he is injured, then we are looking pretty weak at the back with the season only a couple of weeks away Might just be rested for Tuesday and what are we going to learn from him playing. Hope you're right. As to what can be learnt, surely now we should playing teams and formations that are likely to start league games, so they and the management learn the formations, tactics etc. |

Hopefully a good run out against a decent side. Will be interesting to see how we line up as I’d imagine the starting XI will be close to what we’ll see at Blackpool. Not going myself as being a student I can’t justify £15 for a preseason game. Maybe we’ll be wearing our new kit?! (If it’s actually arrived yet 😂). It's £10 for most areas of the ground today. It was £10 at Yate and Truro City charge £10 for a friendly, down here in Cornwall. Prices are pretty decent for a game against a Championship club. Nichols and Craig both missing today. Hopefully both are just precautionary. |

We still have two more friendlies to test out the formations with likely starters. |

Brum one of the weakest Champ teams - sold their 2 star players this summer - Jota and the CF who went to Southampton. They haven't really replaced them, Expect it to be close - 1 - 1 perhaps.
Ogogo also not appearing today, so with JCH, THD, Nichols and TC that's possibly 5 of our first 11 not playing - SO NO MELTDOWNS please if we lose by a few.

I know it's one goal. But some of the way the fans dismiss bennetts ability is beyond crazy.
Very decent footballer. Inconsistent but that's what hes at league one level. On his day hes better than most in this division. Woudlht be against trying to get some consistency from him. Rather than a punt on another.

Plenty will question his consistency, desire and end product though Yeah technically he’s one of our most talented I reckon. Problem is his tracking back, final ball, slows it down too much, very weak ,always runs in to the middle when started out wide. If he could improve those problems he could be class at this level for sure. |
