The board needs new blood, fresh ideas and an injection of youth. He already has shares and a very successfull Grandad. Realistically they are not going to sell the club so could this be an alternative ?
Appreciate would be very unpoppular with some but i quite like the guy. Popular with the players, young buisnessman and keen supporter.

One worry would be that most members of the current BoD have known him since he was a nipper, so would they respect his opinions or suggestions for changes to be made?

This is just yet another from the old boys network, and quirks of birth rather than the best candidate.

My preference would be for a new board but it aint going to happen, they wont let it happen. As such what can we improve from within the existing shareholders. Peter holds a large amount of shares, is a successful young businessman, likeable fella etc.
As for being an independent thinker? yes I'am and by that very nature I'm not afraid to say things that may be unpopular or unusual. I'm not here to collect plaudits or I told you so's.
Whatever happens I'm not going to blame him for his Dad. The reason Peter is disliked by many is that the year we first went down to league 1 and everyone was abusing his Dad he made gestures from the directors box. I cant say I wouldn't have if my Dad was being abused and more. He also got grief because the players tweeted him lots on twitter. I think its positive that the players liked him.
Anyway, from our current shareholders we could do a lot worse. At least he would turn up for work once or twice unlike everyone else.

I don't think so. Peter has experience of running a business. He ran a hotel in Tetbury, which seemed to do fairly well. This has now been sold, and, from the reviews on Trip Adviser, it has gone downhill since. I would take this as a sign that he was able to take over a business, and run it successfully. I think that Dinsdale is correct in saying that it is unlikely for new blood to be allowed a seat at the table. Who is to say that Peter might not be out of the same mould as Dennis - I don't know him, so have no idea.

Isn't this whole issue like saying I'd prefer to be tortured to death by the rack rather than flagelation?

It does reek of nepotism but I know only too well what is is like to be judged by a relatives actions rather than as an individual. Still can't help but think this is a wind up post

There was an item on the old fans forum saying that Peter had been very helpful to players joining the club, by showing them all the best nightclubs in Bristol. So he'll be in demand with all the new signings DC is due to make.
