I watched the game on ifollow coverage which was a lot more professional than last season with instant replays and stats during half time, The game itself i enjoyed even though we lost we never gave up and pushed to the last minute. The one weak link is the same as last season, Liam Sercombe, very ineffective and not sure he even put a tackle in. Once we replace him with a better midfield general we will be ok very happy with them rest of them although the Goal Keeper reminds me of Smith from last season Early days, no need for a meltdown by the usual suspects on here, with the notable addition of Pirate, But what do i know about football, I'm a GASHEAD I’m hoping everyone in here is a gashead Henbury, just because people including me thought today was a pathetic effort doesn’t mean I’m any less of a gashead does it ?

Not rovers related but dc gets a win on the first game of the season and James Clarke scores it and heavy talk of Rory going to Walsall now...

It was just inevitable today as we havent fixed any of the issues from last season. 1 man team so lets hope he gets and stays fit

I thought first half we looked a strong team and just a little light weight upfront still but still the better team and after the goal we lost a bit of momentum and after the shocking defending by leahy we lost the plot and all wind taken from the sails which was hugely disappointing as there was loads of the game to play.. Penalty was harsh in my opinion but then again can see why the ref gave it, Bennett can not tackle to save his life and suddenly looked less confident. We do this game after game now where we get numbers back but just pick up runners or get tight enough!
It’s first game done and boy did we miss our hold up man so let’s hope he recovers quickly and we get another winger in

Rovers fan in Blackpool told me Gaffney had broke his leg in training? Not read it anywhere else though.

Nope you are just as much a gashead as anybody on here and we all have different opinions on OUR team, that's what forums are all about

Was walking to my train in Leeds and got stopped by a blackpool fan that “works in the EFL” and said apparently Tyler Smith will get investigated. Didn’t really listen to him apart from that, what would he get investigated for or just a bias fan?? He didn't do f**k all. Not sure how or why he got booked. Ref was frustrating.

Too light at the top end of the field - we definitely need to start matches with two strikers on the field

In the car travelling up to Edinburgh now and just listened to GCs comments..frustrated clearly with the way things turned out. Strong words needed with the whole team if they were as he says ... “ Not at it in the second half”.
Would rather we had really had a go and conceded again rather than whimper to defeat.
Oh well ... we go again next week.

Oh well ... we go again next week. Quite difficult to go into a match with a negative mindset and formation and then suddenly go on the offensive when we fall behind. I would rather we went into matches on the front foot rather than 'sit tight and hold on' for as long as possible.

Too early ? I'm very excited. Sorry everybody but it seems I may have been a little premature. Better luck next week.

If that's the only stat that matters then don't quote others. Thanks for that, but I'll post what I like when I like. The only stat that really matters at the end is 2-0 like I said, but 1 shot on target after 90+ minutes is pathetic in my opinion. The irony is clearly lost on you.

For what it is worth.. I thought u guys played well, should defo had taken lead when he hit post.
Fan number was brilliant, singing was great at start. But then it stopped.. after then I was disappointed as thought u would be singing non stop??
Just looked like you aint got anyone up front, even from corners we were comfortable.
But all the best for the season guys
