I also expect some, some false hope to come from someone at the club when season tickets go on sale.
Can see ticket sales being the lowest for 5 or 6 seasons next season.
Attendances were low when were 4th.
After a bottom half finish, there won't be a rush for renewal I'd imagine.

It’s just a destabilising ruse made up by ex club members. At least Wael’s realising he’s been had and is keeping his head down now. Whilst I understand Ali Durden and The EP have a need to pedal this nonsense, surely us gasheads should be able to see through it.

Don’t forget the president of the football club himself, Wael, started this all off by revealing the fruit market site and saying we would have moved in after two years. Without that I would of dismissed it as paper talk but Wael’s admission means it’s hard not to speculate.

Plus Bristol's Mayor, I can't see all those being in league with Wael in order to just give some breathing space with Gasheads demanding some news on his stadium plans?

Of course, he didn’t help but think he’s cottoned on now that some of the old guard have been taking the Micky as they’re feeling a bit hurt they’ve lost the little bit of power in local sport they once had. They must feel Lansdown is rubbing their noses in it and wanted to cause a bit of agitation. I think Waels got the measure of them now. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some minor redevelopment of the Mem being considered.

I mean yeah, Wael’s got a fabulous track record when it comes to giving us the truth hasn’t he? If he called me by my name I’d check my birth certificate.

We would probably have to invent new numbers especially for it though, like a giga-trillion or something.

Do you really think the Mayor has any say in what happens in Bristol. He can’t even get a new bus service to run properly on a road built solely for buses to use for goodness sake. It’s sad I know but but Father Christmas doesn’t exist and there are no fairies at the bottom of the garden. I didn’t say the Mem will be redeveloped but I think something will change at the ground,

Absolutely, they have no money they want to spend.

On this matter, it would be an extraordinary lie if he was to go on live radio and talk about a piece of land that wasn’t his , then promise fans that a stadium would be built on it in a couple of years and it was just all something that he had come up with off the top of his head to appease supporters. Not saying I treat Wael’s word as gospel or even that I believe something will happen on the site. Just that Wael adds a certain credence to a story in a way that a rumour in a newspaper couldn’t.

Maybe we should summarise where we are
1. There is no evidence that there are any parties in a position to improve our financial status.
2. There are no plans to build anything on the Fruit Market site.
3 The political class in Bristol are in no position to change anything in the City other than occasionally digging up the Centre.
4. We own a Stadium that has little equity available in it to support future loans.
5. Constantly repeating the fairytales made up by people attempting to soothe their ego’s is just embarrassing and makes us look naive and desperate, in the eyes of other sporting franchises in Bristol.
We need to get a grip and make the most of what we’ve got and move forward and stop believing the that magic beans will one day grow into something.

All those fantasists who Gasincider has been ass kissing for years throwing another try-on out there. Sadly this time they reeled in a whopper.

So you are saying the ITK'ers have convinced the Mayor, Wael, the Bristol Post and BBC's Ali Durden that developers are interested in buidling a new stadium even though there's no intention to do so? If true don't you think Total Produce might have told the BP etc to stop printing rubbish?

All the rest has come from ITKers who most likely informed the Post? Genuine questions. I don't know the answer.

If true don't you think Total Produce might have told the BP etc to stop printing rubbish? How many times have the Post and their various writers over the last decade picked up rumours, conjecture and made up bull on the forums and tried to report it to sell copy? The Mayors of Bristol have been self publicists and anything to ingratiate themselves to the good folks of Brissle to 'enhance' their so called reputations.... As for Wael I think he is naive to say the least. And Total Produce won't say anything as having a potential key tenant on a site would enhance its sale value. That's why the ITKers and fantasists on the forums keep going, they have people daft enough to believe the made up rumours and poison they are fed by those who want to cause mischief like (up till recently) Board directors and former owners. I believe the only people left interested in the Gas at the moment are those convinced they can make money out of it and that includes former directors who are being touted as saviours but in reality will only buy into Rovers if they can make money out of the club and as someone like Lansdowne knows there ain't much to be made!

The only long term effect has been to make Rovers fans look stupid, the rest of them move on. I can’t imagine Total Produce give a stuff about us and are quite happy for nonsense stories to circulate whist they get on with their true business. At least we now know it’s not happening we can move on and at least educate the next generation not to get had again
