Almost certainly not. It’s been in the works for quite a while and includes a desperately needed secondary school.

That seems a different location and developers I can't see linked but it shows the are is gradually being redeveloped. I see it took BCC nearly 12 months just to unanimously approve the plans!

Life is more complicated than it sometimes appears. They’ve had to sort out a Deed of Easement so that Motion nightclub can’t be shut down by complaints from residents of the new flats, and it was approved in the face of objections from the Environment Agency because of the flood risk. Flood risk is something the potential consortium will have to deal with, although I think the fruit market site itself is probably ok, it’s the area closer to the river that will be more challenging.

You mean the flood risk isn’t already mitigated in the plans with a flood relief culvert that diverts excess water onto the Ashton Gate pitch?? Short sighted thinking there!

I’ve just seen motion is gonna stay open because of a new piece of legislation in place where which the flats will still be built, but anyone purchasing or renting the flats signs a disclaimer on the basis that they know there will be sound inconvenience and loud music.
Reckon they disclaimer will also include Football stadiums and chanting 👀👀

I dont know why we couldn't build it in Filton Nobody really knows where we're now planning to build a stadium, we've no real evidence the FM is still Wael's preferred option.

I’d like to think if the Fruit market was off the table we’d of heard a few murmurs by now or maybe even something official. With all the good news that’s going on around the club at the moment i don’t think they’d want to stop that.

Then again it might be in the club's interests to leave the local media concentrating on the FM whilst they work on Plan B, I've no idea if there is a Plan B but apart from the BP there's been no FM news for months. I just don't see what Wael will get from selling the club to the FM developers, as the BP keeps suggesting is the plan.

This is clearly just development on the waste land that was earmarked for the embarrassing Bristol arena temple Meads project and has nothing to do with anything we are looking to do in the area
