Yes Whoever sanctioned the release of the teaser video in April should be sacked Honestly that video has now angered me the most 🤣🤣. Who the f**k releases a video like that if it's not a done deal. Surely they must have agreed the terms to release that. Honestly this club is an absolute joke. Poor decision after embarrassing decision. Someone who’s arrogant?

After the UWE and the JCH reaction they have realised we love a letdown and a moan about it so they are going to provide us with one every fortnight from now on !

Which Green party person do we blame for the negotiations breaking down? We couldn't have possibly made this monumental cock up ourselves Talking of our “Green Friends”…..should we ever get to the stage of putting in PP for a new stadium build on the current site ….can you imagine …….🥹

Another one bites the dust. When the plans for temple quarter were issued at the beginning of the year, I thought there was no chance the stadium was happening. We hadn't heard anything on the project for years, The new plans seemed to omit mention of a stadium only including a sports facility as one of five options and the whole ethos of the area as a LTN didn't seem to fit. I was convinced it was dead in the water. Then the announcement about the partnership and I thought I must have been wrong. Well it seems that my initial assumption was now right. If there is a positive to come out of it, then we are looking to build a bigger capacity than 22,000. Even more reason now to press on with the mem redevelopment. We're going to be there for at least another 5 years, probably 10. Was surprised to read that the north stand would be the next to have the south stand treatment. ......a thought just entered my head. I wonder if the UWE site is still available and the new owners have a different perspective on it. It's not been built on yet.

Don't know about others but I read that as "talks in danger of collapse" not as "talks have collapsed"

It was just over a month ago today that it was apparent the deal wasn't happening.
Our expectations regarding of what we could achieve were tens of millions of pounds out. Conygar must have been left fuming. I suppose the only good thing to come out of the last 10 years is that any new construction partner will be very careful before they allow our club to produce fantasy plans in their name.
Hopefully we will now all be aware of the limitations our owners have and we can apply some pressure on them to produce realistic aims regarding our near derelict stadium.

That hardly warrants pathetic Club does it? If you say so. It makes us a laughing stock Along with other recent balls-ups Does it? Doesn't worry me in the slightest what others thinks of the Rovers.

How do we get 4 years down the line and be in this situation.
From the post article, the only thing I like the sound of is that we were maybe looking at build a bigger stadium than expected.
Just bit of a joke now how we have seemingly walked away from 2 potential stadiums in about 5 years.

Wouldn't it have been nice to hear it from the club first for a change instead? That's what let's us down in my opinion. Don't go holding your breath for Wael to be making any public appearances when there is bad news to deliver. When he pulled the plug on UWE he pushed Hamer out in front of the press to deal with the fall out, and answer all the questions. However, he didn't have the answers or none that he could tell us without getting sacked so came out with his 'Crazy Gang' nonsense.

Let’s just rebuild the Mem. Old school stadiums are much more “romantic” anyway. Out of town bowls are boring. You literally can't get anywhere less out of town than the Fruit Market, and that's the only one on the table at the moment (no matter how unlikely it now seems). I do agree though that we should redevelop the Mem, I know I've banged on about this before, but we should re-orientate the pitch 90 degrees, build a new east stand behind the current one then in the off season dismantle the old east stand, re-orientate the pitch, use the current west stand behind the other goal, extend the temporary south stand along what would then be the side touchline, and either extend the Thatcher's or add a temporary stand in the space up to the new East stand, giving a capacity of between 15, and 20,000 depending on how big you build, then redevelop each side as and when. I reckon that the footprint at the Mem is roughly similar to Easter Road, Hibs ground, that's a great ground, just over 20,000 capacity and the option to fill in the corners which I think would take it up to around 27,000.

Couldn't agree more, and apart from the 6 fingered inbreds I doubt anyone else has that much of an opinion of us anyway, other than they tend to think we have great support when we go away.

I have resigned myself to the fact I will never see a fit for purpose new stadium for Rovers in my lifetime.
We either have (and have had) Directors who do not (and did not) have the funds or the ability to provide a stadium.
I have lost count of how many rumoured new stadiums Rovers were going to build (or rebuild in the case of the Mem) over the past almost 40 years since we left Eastville. I am sure no other club in the football league have had this much bad luck (or mismanagement) in getting a stadium built.
Totally fed up with these constant failures.

Don't know about others but I read that as "talks in danger of collapse" not as "talks have collapsed" I'm guessing it wouldn't be in the local rag if there was any hope of an agreement

I know he’s not said a lot but the fact is that Mr Kuwait isn’t a co-owner. He’s the majority shareholder
