The same answer applies to ‘has Topper answered anything when questioned’. Twice tonight I’ve asked him for some clarity but he just disappears 🤷🏽♀️ Perhaps it's because I haven't seen what you've sort clarification on whilst I was watching the game? As far as the FM, until the club says otherwise we have to assume the deal is probably dead, Wael with his "piece by piece" tweet only adds to that view. As far as LeighAnn I'm not posting what I heard in case it's totally wrong. So basically, assumptions and ‘I’m not telling you’. To be fair I expected nothing less. 👍🏾

It was progressing well a couple months ago, released a video and everything...I'm still hoping that it isn't all dead in the water. It is. FFS , anyone want to buy a 50kg sack of spuds and a box of turnips.

The fact we're spending £m's on a stand hardly gives you hope we'll be leaving the Mem anytime soon.

Wael's comments may be anything too, could just be referring to the South Stand.

It could also mean we're putting things together piece by piece as a club, nothing more than that.

Your post made it seem pretty factual rather than an assumption when you suggested Wael has realised the FM is not viable. Where have you got your info that multiple millions of £’s are being spent on the South Stand?

Regardless of how temporary the temporary south stand is it won’t be cheap.

It's a bit shed like. If it was built 10 years ago, you would argue it would have been solid investment and would be for 5 years if the FM did go ahead.
But if this is the plan to redevelop the Mem in this shed like style, it is bit underwhelming, when you look at that Swansea, Cardiff, the Teds, Brighton, MK Dons and Brentford have all done.
Just my opinion.

I guess it comes down to that. what is the long term plan? Is this a stop gap until we get a new stadium or are we going to be at the Mem for the long term? If it's the later then it does seem like throwing money away on a more temporary stand. I would only read into it that the long term plan must still be to build a new stadium. When the south stand was started the board must have known the FM wasn't going to reach a deal.

The south stand is either a short term (5-7 years) stop gap until we move out or A solution to piece by piece renovation of the mem over the next 5 years keeping seating and capacity to acceptable levels as stands are removed
Doesnt mean either the former is dead (yet) or the redevelopment will all be in the same style.
Maybe we will hear more soon!

Maybe we will hear more soon! I was just about to write something similar. The south stand doesn't indicate anything at the moment regarding our longer term future and the FM will be/was going to be* probably at least 5 years off so something has/had* to give irregardless of ongoing discussions. It's either: Precursor to a partial or whole Mem rebuild A temporary stop gap until the FM is completed A temporary stop gap until Plan B is completed * delete as mood and results dictate 🫣
