For fans of most football clubs, this news story would create excitement and intrigue. All I feel is scepticism. How many false dawns have we had? I really thought the Jordanians would take this club forward. I know. It's like, 'not again.' |

If having a gas is on tonight, I would suggest a quick phone call by Geoff to Wael could prove to be an interesting listen.
If it is a factual article can't see a problem with all parties telling us the truth. By all parties I mean Wael, the Consortium and the Bristol Post.

So one minute its all kept under wraps, then all of a sudden Everyman and his dog are releasing info via the media....
Surely not the way to go?

Well there were rumours that there was something happening in terms of ownership so this isn't a surprise, but it's brilliant that the media are finally reporting on it so it seems to be taking steps towards substance.
That article reads like a massive fail for Wael/DS:
"The Al-Qadis have effectively had the club up for sale for more than a year after becoming frustrated at covering losses, which totalled £65,000-a-week in their accounts for 2017/18, and the ongoing inability to find a new home for the club, which would help alleviate that financial black hole."
They will leave having achieved the square root of sod-all.

the bigger question is..... WHo broke the NDA and leaked it to the Press Apparently some heavies involved in this are none to pleased, even though it’s a BP article and are flying in to make or break the deal...There are even suggestions Wael should leave the country should it go wrong. Must be serious. From an inside source. How has this turned into a supposed mafia-style deal? Or this is just how big business deals work? I wish there weren't actually so many whistle blowers, I'd be in blissful ignorance now...but I just can't stop logging onto this forum!! |

There seems to be some truth in the story given someone has made a bid for the Fruit Market site, and we know BCC want the area around it developed. |

I'm not sure why people are happy it's being reported in the BP? Surely it would have been better for any deal to be concluded without the prying eyes of all and sundry all over it?

Was told over the weekend developers not happy with wael and he pulled a flanker I really hope he isn't trying to scupper it so he can cling on to his fiefdom as club president... |
