No that is a fair comment and I said as much the other day when I thanked Wael for his candidness and giving us some positive news...but there is a danger now that it wasn’t his news to give. Then you have the Waelers who seem to think he is a top bloke and will come good which is fine but I wish they could tell us all why that is but it all appears to be the usual wink wink nudge nudge speak in riddles ITK bollocks which is bloody infuriating and just as bad as the Hamer/Masters dissidents. I like where you are at. I'm fairly close, but I'm just stuck with sticking by our current owners because they seem to be the people who have lied to me the least. Forum ITKers? Unreliable to say the least. The SC director? Still says nothing. BEP? Has anyone believed anything written in there in the last 5 years? It's a ridiculous situation where literally no one has any credibility left. Sad times. Maybe, but I judge them by their competence moreso than their lies and as well meaning as Wael comes across, regardless of what people ITK claim, I have doubts he will deliver which is why it’s no surprise there is a counter-rumour that it’s the work of a consortium. Either way I’m bloody fed up of being glued to this forum every ten days because a new slice of bullshit has been served up. I really wish all involved would sh** or get off the Dam pot because the constant pretension to ITK and long-running consortium (do they exist/don’t they exist) psychodrama is getting right on my chuffing tits now. These are the people that want the Lions share of the football club I have supported since a small lad and it’s come to this sort of bollox, really? I have a fair few sources and this one, currently, is probably the least credible mainly because some of the things he has said he is unable/won’t/can’t prove. However I know he is very much within camp Hamer and Masters with his contacts at the club previously and he claims to be under NDA too with the businesses involved. But to say Wael needs to leave the country if it goes bang? Really? That’s what makes it doubtful. He also told me this on Monday, and now we are at Thursday with no other movements apart from a EP article which has Hamer leak written all over it IMO. |

With the fruit Market though listening between the lines of what the representative of the shareholders said basically if WAQ will pay well over market value then they would sell it, but it would have to be more than the place is worth, so club will basically get ripped off if they want it that bad. Is the site so great? I don't reckon with a stadium in there you would be left with much room for parking, not sure the area is well served by public transport either. Plus it's accessed either off of bath road but I think only if travelling in one direction or going through a load of back streets off the feeder.

I can't see why a deal can't be agreed with the fruit market, particularly if BCC are considering a compulsory purchase order, likewise pp shouldn't be a major issue if BCC are supporting the development. If Hani wants out then surely a price for the club can be agreed or failing which it's costing him £2m+ year in losses, plus how many chances his he going to get to sell the club before debts exceed the equity in the Mem? If what has been put in the BP is true, convincing Total Produce to sell their majority shareholding in the land will be the biggest challenge. Encouraging that they have been offered sites elsewhere, I’m thinking that a Fruit produce company could potentially benefit in a move to somewhere like Avonmouth where it is closer to the motorway, shortening journey times is vital in that industry as the products are perishable. If every single thing is looked at when it comes to planning, with the backing of BCC I can’t see planning being an issue, though you never know with those sorts of things. I can imagine that the AQ’s seem open to selling the club after the losses we have incurred though Wael might want to stay on in some role. Only time will tell if everything falls into place and this goes ahead. One of the biggest issues with the current fruit market location is the amount of 44 Ton Lorries that visit on a daily basis to deliver produce and flowers. Currently estimated at 20-30 trucks (source - somebody the buys/sells produce from the fruit market). Move that lot out of the centre of Bristol and i'm sure it will make a massive difference to the air pollution in the area |

We've been waiting 40+ years for the perfect site/being able to finance it, that might be the best chance we get for another decade, or even ever the way we're heading. |
