A lot of people on here who know nothing, some of them whom are purporting to know insider info too. The other forum even worse. Lots of speculation. Distinct lack of solid information. Struggle to believe anything and suggest taking anything on here with a pinch of salt Perhaps if the club made some kind of announcement then posters wouldn't need to make things up? If Weal did say there's no prospect of a new a stadium in 5 to 7 years (which probably really means 10+ years?) can we really survive at the Mem for a decade or so without developing it to some degree? Nobody’s being forced to make sh** up. It’s not hard to word your posts to indicate that you’re speaking from a position of lack of information but some like to purport their opinion as fact and it really gets on my wick. |

I don't need names of locations or fancy architect drawings if there is too much secrecy for them to be disclosed or it's too early in the project for them to be drawn up.
Just a more general roadmap from the club about what it's priorities and ambitions are for the future of it's infrastructure.
Some official communication like the updates Oxford United are providing their supporters with.
Is that too much to ask for?

Spoke to some one who went to AGM last night his words not mine were he saw nobody being asked to leave So another load of lies put onto a Forum of BRFC. What is wrong with people. Seriously, are they mentally backwards to get a kick out of their crap? I can't get my head around how sad you've got to be to do that. Sad thing is a lot of those making stuff up are approaching or are at an age where they could be great grandparents. Pathetic! |

I don't need names of locations or fancy architect drawings if there is too much secrecy for them to be disclosed or it's too early in the project for them to be drawn up. Just a more general roadmap from the club about what it's priorities and ambitions are for the future of it's infrastructure. Some official communication like the updates Oxford United are providing their supporters with. Is that too much to ask for? If the FM is our preferred option then the difference is that Oxford are totally in control of their new stadium plans we have to rely upon the developers to give updates. Although not sure why Wael can't say they've identified where they'd like a stadium to be built and hope to be able to give further information in 1/2/3 years time. |

(Wherever you are) As someone who reads the other forum, whilst I agree many are fine such as yourself, there are many who look down on this site. Ranging from "Asschat" to being associated with a "school playground" and snobbery with a 'quality over quantity' reference. Not forgetting the accusations of being in Wael’s pocket, sycophantic and not permitting a contrary opinion. The 'independent' tag is taken too literally at times and a refusal to see the good things that are happening. |

Gaschat was created only because users on the old Official forum were not made welcome on the old independent forum when it was closed. The snobbery and bitterness aimed at many of the early migrating users led to the formation of this forum. We were disliked before we were even given a chance. Myself and the other early creators of this forum all wanted the original merge to work and some of us still feel a sadness that this place was ever necessary. |

You can break the two camps down into mainly older supporters on there and mainly younger on here. The chances are that many of the younger supporters who are mainly positive now will be similar in attitude to many of the older supporters should their Rovers supporting experience turn out to be the same. There doesn’t need to be such vitriol between the two groups, both want the football club to be successful and play in a stadium that is better than the one they play in now and better than the one they played in 60 years ago and enjoy the status the club had 60, 50 or even 40 years ago. Most clubs don’t have such a vitriolic split between young and old but then most clubs haven’t been dominated by stadium issues for 40 years! |

I don’t want this place to be known as a happy clappy Wael supporters club, that if you should have any differing opinion you should go elsewhere ect. The forum is here in some respects as a platform of critical thinking and as a platform to share concerns with others.
However this forum also exists as a platform of debate and as a general rule of debate you provide your reasoning behind your stated beliefs and opinions when asked to. That’s where we’ve had problems, with people lobbing grenades then vanishing when they are called to provide their motivation for taking such a critical view of the current ownership.
If Swiss or any other person of anti-Wael disposition want to register for here and have a reasoned conversation about the ownership and the future of the club then I’d welcome it.

Wasn't LG suggested by some random supporter who didn't seemed to have any financial backing behind him but hoped to get backing if the club showed any interest in the site? TBH I can't think of anything worse than a Shrewsbury/Oxford type location for a ground just stuck in the middle of nowhere. I have seen proof of mails, texts etc, it looked like it was going to happen. It was two supporters, one wealthy, that were asked to be involved. One is on here but now chooses not to post, no NDA but the deal came to a halt after Wael asked two people to give it a good look and they said not viable. Another club, not football, will be there but i have been asked not to divulge this as it could hamper progress. You can chose to believe me or not but, unless the guy made up the email addresses and other then it was very real as a good prospect. Tin hat now firmly on , waiting for you know who to write and me not read. |
