A BRIEF RELEVANT SECTION FROM THE CIC INTERIM. 31 May 2023 The Conygar Investment Company PLC Interim results for the six months ended 31 March 2023 We also announced, on 6 April 2023, that Conygar Bristol Limited, a joint venture owned 80 per cent by the Company and 20 per cent by Urban and City Limited, had acquired, for £450,000, an option to purchase 14.7 acres of land, strategically located, to the east of Bristol Temple Meads railway station. Completion of the purchase, which remains subject to Conygar's discretion, is dependent upon both a vacant possession condition being satisfied and a suitable planning permission being granted for a number of possible development options. The conditional contract expires on 31 March 2024 in the event that a planning application for the development of the site has not been submitted by that date. So planning applied for by 31/3/24 then ? New National Stadium here we come ! "dependent upon both a vacant possession condition being satisfied and a suitable planning permission being granted". Does that mean planning application or permission granted by 31 March 2024?

The final sentence seems to clarify that point?
"The conditional contract expires on 31 March 2024 in the event that a planning application for the development of the site has not been submitted by that date."

No,maybe you misread what I mean, is there anything to see ? Why would there be anything to see when Congyer have until March 24 to submit their plans? Well we might see some BCC planning officials driving round in suspiciously new looking Teslas.

No,maybe you misread what I mean, is there anything to see ? Why would there be anything to see when Congyer have until March 24 to submit their plans? Congyer have exclusive rights to purchase the site until March24th - that is different from what you are saying. They will need to make sure that everything is in order by that date and that the whole project will give a good return to any potential investors . They will apply for planning permission before the deadline as there may be problems. They will speak with any other regulators / prospective parties and look to have contracts in place . For example they don't want to purchase the site in March 2024 just to find that Rovers stay at the Mem as that would probably prejudice the viability of the Fruit Market scheme. Congyer are going to really have to move fast to meet the deadline of March - its not just about planning permission

Why will they have to move quick, when all the options states is that they must have applied for pp by 31 March 2024 not obtained pp by that date.
They've got at least another 6 months to go before they need to start worrying about applying for pp. Hopefully they'll confirm around that time if a stadium is still part of their plans.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a stadium is at the demand of Bristol council, not part of Conygar's plans as such.
