It does but as he owns the club I'm sure moey does filter through to thdfoot ball as well ? Yeah I'm sure it does. To be honest I would t have a clue how it works with regards money made at the rugby stadium on non match days and how he divides it up between all the clubs in Bristol sport. But it can't all go to the football so that would annoy me being a ted. Would it annoy you though? Or would you think about it for a few seconds, and realise you are part of a group who benefit as a whole? Flipping it around, do the flyers get annoyed that bcfc heammorage cash and need constant propping up? A bit like a family with children. Why would one kid be annoyed if mum shared out her bingo winnings🤷♂️

The need for a new stadium rather than redevelopment of the mem is simple. You can't make money from 30 football games a year you need to use the site for other things and the mem is not suitable for large scale events due to its location. All the new stadiums are used for concerts etc Take that at AG 30,000 people paying £6.50 a pint plus food etc etc. A few large events over the summer would easily generate £1m profit and raise the profile of the stadium. Glos Rd may have loads of pubs but a new stadium away from the area is needed for long term sustainability of the club. Yes exactly this. The Gas need a new stadium for a long number of reasons. The other revenue streams when there isn't just a match day would be so important. The arguement that the Mem is good location, is only because it's on Glos Rd and it's pubs. Which makes the club £0.

Bit different comparing your own kids to other sports teams.

But will it be any more beneficial if we have to share the revenues and pay rent? If there were bigger stands at the Mem with bigger bars people would most likely use them.

Aren't they getting the Mem site in a trade off?

Yes it is part of the deal as far as we are told but It depends on what it covers. I can't imagine we are doing a land swap and it won't cover the cost of a decent stadium.

The only good thing for me playing at the Mem is to be able to drink on Glos road.

I have no issue with the paper mugs or the previous plastic ones myself. Each to their own, I don't like beer from tins others do.

Awful for anything before or after the match.

Awful for anything before or after the match. The bit in between hasn't been that great recently either! I find it hard to believe that we'd be worse off if an owner just took a gamble on building a new stadium.

Other than BP, who has said it is officially off? The only thing we know from the post is we walked away from talks. I guess we will each interpret differently how likely it is one side will have a change of heart. If it is true then I think it's very unlikely the FM will happen.

If true, the club might aswell announce that themselves.

Other than BP, who has said it is officially off? Think it's only BP that are reporting it so until I hear it directly from the club or from the developers I'm reserving judgement as it's only hearsay from the BP

Rovers may have halted talks and left the meeting as they needed to examine the issues more or seek advice. It doesnt have to mean we threw a strop and stormed off saying its over.
