Jaakkola 6 no chance with the goals, baffled how he conceded a pen. Little 6 like the look of him but well marshaled by their defence when forward Davies 6 battled hard but beaten in the air against their big striker most times Craig 6.5 stuck to his task Leahy 4 poor Upson 4 so slow O. Clarke 5 unlucky when he hit the post with our only real chance, over run in midfield mostly Sercombe 4 really getting frustrated watching him now Rodman 4 no where near his best Adeboyejo 5 pacy but no leader of the line on his own Bennett 6.5 wasted being held back in a five man midfield, better when more forward Subs: Smith 3 Nichols 5 Crowd 6 Ref 4 Blackpool 6 much quicker and stronger than us, deserved the three points |

Everyone average except secombe looked completely lost and Bennett who was the best of a bad bunch, if this is what is in store we are in for a long hard season
we we’re well beaten by a much better team and a ref with a dodger penalty

Little - 6 - Looked good going forward got caught up field to many times
Davies - 5 - Solid but slow compared to the person he replaced
Craig - 5 -His normal commanding self, needs some pace beside him
Leahy - Very poor at the back but looked good going forward
Upson - 6 -did his job well, but again looks a bit ponderous on the ball
O. Clarke - 6 - Back to his normal self looked dangerous going forward with his shooting
Sercombe - 4 So poor yesterday, looked like a man who lost his mojo
Rodman - 5 - Started well but very ineffective 2nd half
Adeboyejo 5 - looked good in and around the box, did not look fit to me
Bennett - 7 - best of a bad bunch, looked dangerous every time he got the ball
Subs: Smith - 5 like his movement and speed, needs the big man beside him

Jaakkola 6.5 one great save, fault with goal.
Little 7.5 good debut.
Davies 8 one exceptional challenge, great debut.
Craig 7.5 reliable as ever.
Leahy 7 ok debut but partly responsible for second goal.
Upson 5.5 anonymous.
O. Clarke 8 m o m involved and unlucky not to score.
Sercombe 6 influential.
Rodman 6 tried, but ineffective.
Adeboyejo 6.5 ran socks off but too often exposed.
Bennett 6.5 tried so hard but too easily lost ball and almost everything he done resulted in nothing.
Subs: Smith 6.5 couple of wayward shots.
Nichols 5 business as usual.
Crowd 8.5 made loads of noise pre match and first half..
Ref 7.5 ok.
Blackpool 7 imo poor tactical start and silly mistakes gifted them the match. It wasn't 4-3-3, it was more like 4-4-1-1 at times.

He’s absolutely dreadful defensively. |

Jaakkola 5 one decent save at the end of the first half, one audition for the next Tyson Fury fight.
Little 7 showed up brightly
Leahy 5 lot of intended crosses fell short/couldn’t beat first man. Defending suspect, nowhere near competent enough, went missing for their second
Davies 6 steady debut
Craig 6 standard fare from mr reliable
Upson 5 cumbersome
Sercombe 4 sercumbersome
Bennett 7.5 MOTM
Clarke 6 cost us the second goal by losing possession on the edge of the box but also was the driving force behind the best gas moves and was unlucky not to score early doors
Rodders 4 off the pace
Adeboyejo 4 flattered to deceive
Smith 5 daft booking but looked to have a trick or two

Jaakkola 5 Looked slow getting down for shots and gave away the penalty. Did make one good save in the first half.
Little 7 A good first showing. Think with a target to aim for in the middle this year he could be a threat, but hitting balls for Kyle was never going to end well.
Davies 6 Solid. Interesting to see him be the one being vocal in the defence.
Craig 6 What you always expect with Craig.
Leahy 5 Completely lost his man for the second. Positive intentions going forward but his crossing was suspect.
Upson 7 The only player in the midfield that seemed to realise that it was ok to pass to the wingers. Held on to the ball too long as times but often because he lacked any options.
O. Clarke 5 Lost the ball for their second goal because he was trying to run through their big boys. Had a decent first half but got bullied out of the game second half.
Sercombe 5 A few neat touches and flicks but largely ineffective.
Rodman 5 Weird to see him used as the target man from goal kicks again after last season, Blackpool quickly realised and made him ineffective.
Adeboyejo 5 Tried but lacked much support.
Bennett 6 Looked more like the Bennett that first signed for the club. Got knocked about by Blackpool's big boys though and despite being positive, often failed to actually achieve much.
Subs: Smith 5 The difference in knowledge of the dark arts of football between the two teams was best shown through Smith. Blackpool battered through our team but did it in ways that were going to keep them out of the referee's book, Smith tried it and was so bad at it that his booking was comical.
Nichols NOLE. Did look like scoring more than either of the other two though when he was on.
Crowd 6. Good first half, but much like the team we seemed to fall asleep at half time.
Ref 7. Some odd decisions, but got the main ones right.
Blackpool 8. Everything that we're not. Big, Strong, Physical side with some pace going forward. Always capable of punishing mistakes at the back which they did.

Nichols doesn't look like scoring for two seasons!
No one scored at all.

Adeboyejo, to be fair I don't think he's used to trying to play the loan striker roll. 5
Bennett, flatter to receive, no end product. 5

Nichols, no goals gives us just that. 3
It's a said day when we're 2 down and we look at the bench for game changing goalscorers and we see an inexperienced young lad and Nichols. I read it's going to be a long season.
Blackpool were everything we weren't, fancy them for a playoff place 8.
Also the town was buzzing with all the punks, some day and night.

Thought the forward looked way off the pace and Smith was literally man v boy when he came on.......Guess writing is on the wall for TN if he cant ge tin before these....if JCH is not back soon we are doomed ! How did it ever get that Rovers are a one man team ?

Smith and Nichols not good enough.HAS to start Deon against Wycombe.Not even on the bench at Blackpool as he has a lot of quality.Bennet doing ok so let's stop moaning about him as he works harder than most and we have little quality up front.
