Many people would have known Brian Daly from Rovers and I suspect those that did know him will have heard by now that he died earlier this week. I think he may have been an occasional poster on forums as 'Benalmedena gas'
This is just a note to those who may not have seen or use Facebook that Brian's funeral will be on Monday September 9th, 2.15 at Canford, then back to the Mem for a few tears. beers and laughs as we remember the life of a huge character.
All welcome

Awful awful news.. I've had some medical issues recently and bumped into Brian at Southmead hospital just a couple of months ago.
We chatted for a while about the Gas and he was telling me he was over the worst and was on the road to recovery.
His passing has left me speechless, God bless you mate condolences to his family..

Brian did indeed get the 'all clear' earlier in the year. In fact he seemed to breeze through it all, he did say that at times the chemo was tough, but I can't even think of any games that he missed through it. When it came back a only a matter of weeks ago , it came quickly and ruthlessly, he looked in a terrible way come the end. I'm just glad it was relatively quick for him.

As one of the people that spoke I thank you very much. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Brian was a great friend who will be massively missed by family and friends. Going to Rovers will never be the same again without Brian. UTG.
