I honestly think this is a massive game this early in. Tranmere are a team I expect to be in the bottom half somewhere at least if not in or around the relegation zone. If we can't beat then at home, I will be worried, especially as we are playing an Oxford United side 4 days later who are apparently playing some of the best football they have in a long time. If they sign Matty Taylor in the meantime too then who knows what they might do to us!

You just know that w**ker Stefan Payne will score against us, might wack £20 on it just to ease the pain.

There's every chance we'll do well against Tranmere but if we lose to Oxford it won't be solely due to your hero, super twatty failure. Granted he may sneak a goal if his team mates present him with 4 or 5 decent chances but having spent the best part of his first two seasons with us learning how to find the net he has forgotten how to score again since his move to the dark side.

Oxford manager apparently meeting a prospective loan striker in Oxford tonight. Looks like Matty may have made his mind up after Lee's comments in the week and yet another game out of the squad today.

Against Bolton's youth team. Would like to think we would have scored against them. Cheltenham probally put out a better side the other night. Teams who play Bolton now, have an advantage. If they are taken over, before transfer deadline day, they could be a different team soon.

I would like to see Rodman, Kelly and Adeboyejo start on Tuesday. The narrow formation just hasn’t worked so I think we need to bring Rodman in and play with a bit of width, Rodman is a tidy player and has a goal or two in his locker. I’ve lost patience with Leahy, poor defensively and isn’t even very good going forward, Kelly perhaps isn’t the best fullback in the world but he does all the basics right. Adeboyejo deserves another start, one of our better players last weekend, unlucky to be dropped really. Coughlan needs to shake things up and find a way of playing more expansive, attacking football at home otherwise against Tranmere I fear a repeat of the Wycombe game where two poor teams work hard but lack the quality to turn the game in their favour. Getting the three points would give us a massive confidence boost but equally if we fail to do so, things will look very bleak indeed.

I would probably still stick with Smith, the lad played well on Tuesday and was feeding off scraps yesterday, plus I feel the way Adebayajo plays would make him more useful off the bench. If he sticks with the midfield diamond I would like to see Lucas Tomlinson given a chance. Clearly a very talented young player, and a natural attacking midfielder unlike Bennett.

He said in the post match interview that he has been TOO EXPANSIVE. So whilst I agree with your thoughts... well over to you Yattongas.

You just know that w**ker Stefan Payne will score against us, might wack £20 on it just to ease the pain. I reckon Rovers had to cover a large part of Paynes wage to induce Tranmere to sign him. Surely there would have been a clause that he couldn't play against Rovers.

Yes we did, and we had to pay Shrewsbury the remaining £100k. Just think that's another decent player we could have signed
