His view is so wrong it's unbelievable. Fifa creates all football rules, it has nothing to do with the EU/Brexit. There's being funny/outspoken but then there is just stupidity. Does anyone take Holloway seriously anymore? Next Rovers Manager. Apparently. Part of the Consortium involved with the fruit market.................

More like just the usual nonsense from Brexit supporting wankers who haven’t got a clue other than they think Johnny Foreigner is ruining their life. Absolute pathetic nonsense from Holloway and for this comment alone I hope we never see him anywhere near our football club again because he clearly has a severe lack of minerals in the grey matter. Just another fist pumper! I agree with you regarding Holloway, but he has proven himself to be a total idiot long before this latest bollox. Thank you for putting me in the same category as him in my support of BREXIT. I am therefore justified in bracketing you with back-stabbing, Trecherous turncoats like MC Donnell, Abbott, Corbyn, Thornberry, Swinson et al. Bastard Wankers all of you, with no respect for democracy. We have the unelected queen as head of state, an unelected House of Lords, an unelected PM, a political party in government without a majority and funded by Russians and people using tax havens etc. and lobbied by big businesses who want to lower standards so that they can make higher profit margins and boost their share prices.
We also have a news media largely owned by foreigners who have their own biased political agenda that isn't necessarily in the best interests of the UK.

It’s just the usual nonsense from football managers, put a microphone in front of them and they’ll talk until you take it away, leave it there long enough and most of them will say something genuinely stupid and/or ill informed...unfortunately with Ian it doesn’t need to be that long. More like just the usual nonsense from Brexit supporting wankers who haven’t got a clue other than they think Johnny Foreigner is ruining their life. We can blame the EU for loads of things, but don’t think the handball rule is one of them. Although if they were to make a handball rule it would probably be as bad as this one.

Odd, I agree, but to be fair his viewe in who us to blame for the handball laws have nothing to do with his ability as a football manager.

Biggest con ever inflicted on the British people in the name of fake patriotism and taking back control when it’s simply dangerous nationalism and losing control, influence, our freedom of movement and ability to trade. The world would be a better place without the lot of you flag waving dicks.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Theres nothing funnier than as outraged Marxist! Using Marxism as a derogatory term is crude philistinism. Perhaps that is all some have nowadays when presented with facts. Besides, recognising the fact that we live under a 'form of democracy' with oversight by an unelected privileged elite does not represent a declaration in support of any particular political philosophy. We had an EU referendum with a result not compatible with the balance of our parliamentary democracy to unhold that result. The two democratic systems are at odds and yet both divided; they don't reconcile so currently in a no action stalemate.
It would be ironic to argue to 'take back control' from the EU to give to our parliamentary democracy and yet ignore our parliamentary democracy in doing so. Likewise, we can argue that the EU parliament isn't democratic and yet our head of state, House of Lords etc. are unelected.
We could also argue that media coverage of politics is too focused upon 'personalities rather than 'policies'. However personalities achieve more media attention because they generate more interest than the subject alone (a significant number of people perceive details as 'boring'), more entertainment value and so more money. Likewise why Ian Holloway is selected as a media pundit and the general public presented with misleading unchallenged information on which to form their opinion.

Good post except the EU parliament is democratic. All MEPs are elected. Even the head of the commission is elected by the council made up of the heads of state. It’s the commission that get the bad press but the commission’s job is to form a policy based upon what the MEPs direct them to do and that policy then comes back to them to approve. It’s a bit like the UK having Civil Servants to formulate a policy directed by government that our MPs then vote on. Every member state has its own domestic laws and tax system. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institutions_of_the_European_Union#/media/File%3APolitical_System_of_the_European_Union.svg

Utter rubbish, the sort of bilge that idiots like Corbyn come out with to try and justify their lunatic policies. we are a monarchy, have been for hundreds of years, the vast majority of the population support and are proud of our monarchy, the rest of the world admire and envy our monarchy. what would most British people prefer, a president like that arsehole Macron or our Queen? Answers on a postcard please. And finally, the whole point of a referendum in a democracy is that it super cedes Parliament as it is considered a direct instruction from a majority of The People th Parliament to perform a defined action. In this case it was to leave the EU. The question on which the referendum was conducted was stay or leave. There were no caveats, yet the Remoaning Bastards have tried to hijack the result and lie constantly that people didn't vote for no deal. Yes we frigging did, and it boils my water when those Marxist Bastard try and tell me otherwise. And finally, if Remoaners dislike living in this monarchy then there is nothing to stop them moving to the undoubted egalitarian Utopia they seem to consider the EU represents. Better hurry up though, Freedom of Movement is about to end!

In this case it was to leave the EU. No, we live under a parliamentary democracy. David Cameron ensured the EU referendum was only classed as 'Advisory' and had no legal basis. We live in a parliamentary democracy and the EU referendum was only classed as 'Advisory' for Parliament to gauge public opinion. There was no legal obligation for Parliament to act upon the result; that is for MPs to decide... as we live under a parliamentary democracy. We get to elect MPs to decide what to do about the EU referendum result.
We have an unelected Queen as head of state, an unelected House of Lords and unelected PM. That is actually a Marxist concept.

Again, utter bilge and tosh. Obfuscation that Corbyn and McDonnell would be proud of. I distinctly remember Cameron standing at the Downing Street lectern and gravely telling us it was our choice. In or out. Nothing about it being advisory as the manic Remoaners have been putting about. If you think about it logically, Cameron was and probably still is an arch Remainer. If it was only an advisory vote he would have remained as PM, given it a few weeks then said "Thanks for the advice, we've carefully considered it and decided that there's 17.4 thick bastards in the UK and we're staying put" Please, if you're going to debate with me don't base your whole argument on a total lie. Advisory my arse.
