Another spirited performance in a formation GC seems to find comfort in. A fine team performance and no shame in losing to a better team, we gave it our all and proud displays by a team that is gelling. Congratulations Brighton and good luck in next round, well done Gas if we play like that most games......well, who knows what can happen?
Jaakkola 8.5 kept us in it.
Davies 8 excellent especially with distribution.
Craig 8 several blocks.
Kilgour 8 mature and steady.
Hare 7.5 very good effort
Clarke 7 slow start.
Upson 8 seems to be getting better.
Ogogo 9 m o m almost faultless
Leahy 7.5 unfortunate deflection for first, good effort.
Nichols 8 great strike and ran heart out.
Adeboyejo 6.5 tried hard but not his night.
Subs: Clarke-Harris 7.5 made things happen up front.
Smith 6.5 looked lacking.
Rodman 6.5 ineffective.
Crowd 7 impressed.
Ref 8 got most the important decisions correct and backed up by efficient assistants.
Brighton 8.5 slick and quality.

Jaakkola: 8.5. Some very good saves and aside from one dropped cross, sound throughout.
Davies: 8. Committed, no nonsense defending throughout.
Craig: 9 (MoM). Immaculate. Thought he might struggle tonight but didn't put a foot wrong.
Kilgour: 8. Growing in stature game by game.
Hare: 7. Did his best to get forward and stuck to his defensive task despite lots of pressure.
Leahy: 7. Gradually finding his feet in this team.
Clarke: 8. Good, all action display from Ollie. We lost our way a bit afger he went off.
Upson: 8. In the best form of his Rovers career. Excellent again tonight.
Ogogo: 8. Another committed display. Loved his goal celebration!
Nichols: 8.5. What confidence a goal gives! Caused Brighton problems and took his goal brilliantly.
Adeboyejo: 6.5. Worked hard but found it hard to make an impact.
JCH: 6. Didn't make much of an impact in truth.
Smith: 6. Ditto JCH.
Rodman: nole.
GC: 8. Seems to have hit on a suitable formula. Unless OC was injured, the substitution was odd as it took Nichols away from where he was causing problems and we lost bite in the middle. If it was prompted by injury then I take that back, although it highlights the paucity of oir resources in that area.
Ref: 8. Good. Let game flow.
B&HA: 8. Good side who paid us the compliment of a strong line up. We should be proud we ran them so close.

Jaakkola 8 he is the established first team keeper now, strong and solid. Davies 8.5 another excellent game, Craig 8.5 strong, organised, just what we have come to expect. Kilgour 7.5 gave the ball away in the lead up to first goal but otherwise solid Hare 8.5 I am continually amazed at how he has made the transition from the 5th tier. Clarke 8 played well but looks to be carrying an injury. Upson 8.5 a revelation this season, perhaps its the new haircut !! Ogogo 9 M.o.M. a fitter, leaner player, covered every blade of grass. Leahy 7.5 a very decent display, he is gradually finding his feet in the team. Nichols 8 worked hard, great strike, I'm getting to like this new striker.! Adeboyejo 6.5 didnt lack effort but easily marshalled by the Brighton centre backs. Subs: Clarke-Harris 7.5 made the difference when he came on. Smith 6.5 same as Victor. Rodman Nole Crowd 8 plenty of noise. Ref 8 very good. Brighton 8 a class above us |

Jaakkola 8 - Great game, made a few great saves. I like him.
Davies 9 - MOTM. Outstanding, really love him after last night. Strong in the tackle (not sure how that one was a foul0 and can brought the ball out well.
Craig 8 - Solid. Experienced.
Kilgour 7.5 - Errror for the first goal but the lad has a bright future.
Hare 8 - Superb yet again. Crossing is so consistent.
Clarke 7.5 - Battled hard.
Upson 8.5 - In the form of his time with us. Been superb the past 3 games.
Ogogo 8.5 - Gets round the pitch so well, just the sort of player you need in these games.
Leahy 7 - Getting better with every game (this is definitely his formation). Still can't help but think how much strong we will be when/if THD is back.
Nichols 8 - Worked hard, took his goal well. So pleased for him!
Adeboyejo 6.5 - Worked hard off the ball but lack of quality on it.
Subs: Clarke-Harris 7 - Instant impact when he came on. A championship striker playing for a L1 club.
Smith 5.5 - No impact.
Rodman 6.5 - Did OK in the short time on. Cleared a cross.
Crowd 9 - Think the combination of the closure of West Stand and playing a prem team at home, and the team putting in a shift really lifted the place.
Ref 8 - Good game. Let game flow but what was that foul against Tom Davies all about, superb tackle!!
Brighton 8.5 - Shows the difference between prem and L1 that even with a 2nd string 11 that even a lower half prem side could field multiple £20m players.
Proud of us last night. That is the Rovers we love. Although slightly concerned that we have been flat out 2 games running now and have a difficult game away to Burton coming up.
