Some good groups in there this season. Group G in particular is the atypical 'group of death' given any of those four could feasibly win the group or finish bottom!
I'd expect all the English clubs to progress again - only Chelsea really have a what-you-would-consider "tough" draw.

Chelsea also don't have that far at all to travel, 3 close games. Man City the opposite.
Group A & F look to be the hardest groups!!

Tottenham too, Greece and Serbia are, what, five hour trips?

Too much is made of the distances that have to be flown. It must be hell having to travel for five hours in First Class.

I think the point is it supposedly effects recovery, training time, sleep patterns etc. For Utd in the EL, travelling to Kazakhstan for a Thursday night game would essentially mean writing off an entire day. Granted, Utd shouldn't need any training whatsoever to beat Kazakhstani team (although I'm really not so sure these days) but it all contributes. Likewise, the after effects post-match when travelling back also effects preparation for the following weekend game.

Gotta be a draw, that one. Oh yeah. OK. We are playing Bolton. That will be a easy win. So i am not mithered about the CL matches that night. Just watching Wednesdays action. Got a feeling Liverpool will win it again this season.

QF draw:
Real Madrid or Man City v Lyon or Juventus Leipzig v Atleti Napoli or Barcelona v Chelsea or Bayern Atalanta v PSG
Poor draw overall IMO, four of Madrid/City/Juve/Barca/Chelsea/Bayern going home in the quarters. Huge opportunity for Atleti and PSG to finally go the distance given their two ties play each other in the semis. I still fancy Bayern personally.

I just have a hunch that it will be a Bayern vs Juve final if they don't get drawn against each other in the Semis. Both had/having strong finishes in their respective domestic leagues and both have match winners in the form of Lewandowski and an ageing Ronaldo. Can't see much chance for the two English teams unfortunately. Man City got outfoxed by a struggling Arsenal team today and Chelsea are three nil down from the first leg in their tie against Bayern.

I do still fancy City a lot but they're looking shaky and the defence isn't set. I know the league is over and Pep will claim he's resting his players by chopping and changing so much but it can't help them much when they've got no momentum? That said they'll probably stick eight past Watford final game lol. The winners of Leipzig/Atleti and Atalanta/PSG play each other in the semis though, Axe. So I fancy Bayern to beat Atleti (who are in superb form) in the final.
