Good performance again yesterday, could have been three or four but for some decent goalkeeping. We are going up !!!

Such a good finish from Davies. He really has been a bargain find.

Such a good finish from Davies. He really has been a bargain find. You're right. The problem I can now see is that we won't get anymore free's from Coventry. The minute we enquire about on of their transfer listed players they'll knock us back and put a £1 million transfer fee on the players head and wait for the Championship clubs to come calling.

That looked good, hadn't realised quite how well their keeper kept them in the game. And our willingness to shoot is looking promising as well as being good to watch. So many times I've watched Rovers and been frustrated by lack of final effort. Great to see us having a go . . . up and at em!

Nicholls made more saves yesterday than he did his entire time on loan here.

Such a good finish from Davies. He really has been a bargain find. A left foot finish. Pretty sure he's mainly right foot.

I watched the match and I always listen to Radio Bristol at the same time. The commentator (She!Ed Hadwin) was talking about the fact that Davies had only ever scored 1 goal in his entire professional career and that it was about time he got one for the gas....then low and behold he did!!

Do we need anymore players? We always need more players. I think we need another 4 to have an excellent squad. An out & out winger, attacking, creative midfielder, and a fox in the box (our own rather than a loan) and another Ogogo type. THD and Hare returning will be like new signings, and hopefully 2 or 3 of the youngsters will make the grade. I'm quietly confident that GC is building an excellent squad, and hats off to WAQ for giving him a chance. How much of that was as a result of budget I don't know; I suspect it had a bearing, but after initial doubts, I think he's doing a sterling job. when you consider the cluster-f@ck he inherited, it's nothing short of a minor miracle.

if only we had someone better than Nichols up front, but I believe his 3 year deal comes to an end in the summer, and I cannot see why we would want to keep him. He is no better now than he was 3 years ago

He is no better now than he was 3 years ago As with most players, it's subjective but I would keep him. Think he is a good 2nd/3rd choice striker for this level and where we are as a club. We paid too much for him, yes. However, that doesn't mean I would let him go. His true value is probably somewhere in between.

A serious question. Why would you keep someone as a 2nd/3rd choice STRIKER when he doesn't score?

Sunderland spent £4,000,000 on grigg and he cant score for them. We spent £300,000 on nichols according to forum experts and he cant score either. Compared to will grigg nichols is a bargain.

If I bought a second hand Ferrari for £100,000, and a second hand Skoda for £1,000, and neither of them would start, I wouldn't consider the Skoda to be a bargain.

Grigg is still capable of scoring the goals to take Sunderland up under their new manager, after Saturday's latest miss I sense we'll be lucky if Nichols gets into double figures.
