I absolutely believe we will be beaten. It won’t be an upset. Given that we are very unlikely to go up or down this season, a good cup run could be this season’s excitement. Why are we unlikely to go up, or at least make the play offs, when we're only a point or two off 4th and apart from Ipswich the league seems v. poor. |

So long as GC and his lads don't also think this, we might just pull off a sort of reverse surprise.

If we play to our strengths and do not get involved in an arm wrestle of a match we will have better players, man for man, we will be quicker, better coached. They will fight to the end for a replay, we need to come out hard and score early. |

I think if we defend in numbers and get 11 men behind the ball and don't play any short passes we could win the match.
In other words play our normal game.

No guarantees with footy.
We could play really badly and win or we could play great and lose or any other combination of that. Pessimism can be a coping mechanism - preparing for the worst etc.
FWIW I think we’ll be in the hat on Monday.

Can see the lowest ranked team Maldon & Tiptree's strikers Slew and Parish causing Orient problems tomorrow. Might be worth a pound or two on them getting a result.
