Hope we go with Smith and Adeboyejo up top today - nice mixture of pace & power in those two. Smith & Nichols looked a bit lightweight to me v MK. I’ll go 1-1. GC's been selecting Nichols for his experience away from home, I was impressed by Adeboyejo's hold up play last week so I'd go with him with either TN or Smith. No idea why posters will say we'll lose as Donny are on a poor run of from, have lost their two main strikers from last season and replaced them with loan players, one of whom is out injured, and are only scoring slightly more than 1 goal a game. Forgetting last season's results and this is a game we should be looking to win if we want to be serious top 6, even top 3, contenders this season.

I would be happy with a point but hope we can sneak a win. Head says 1-1 but heart says 2-1 to the Gas.

I think the result depends on the two strikers selected up front, I suspect we will start again with the two smaller guys and that we will not score or hold the ball in their half of the field, so I am going for a 1-0 defeat. I personally would pick the two loan strikers one bigger guy who can hold the ball up and the smaller fast guy to play on the break.

Didn't we score, then go on to win against MK Dons with those small forwards? Or did we change it by then?

Sercombe injured then I assume. Ollie back as Captain!!!! Put him in the team perhaps, but Craig should keep the matchday armband.

Understand OC being in team if Sercombe not fit to play, but agreed, Tony Craig better fit as captain.
A point would be nice.

Doncaster Rovers: Seny Dieng (G), Brad Halliday, Reece James, Tom Anderson, Donervon Daniels, Ben Whiteman, Ben Sheaf, Jon Taylor, James Coppinger, Kieran Sadler, Niall Ennis.
Subs: Ian Lawlor (G), Joe Wright, Madger Gomes, Alfie May, Will Longbottom, AJ Greaves, Kwame Thomas.
This Donnie team certainly does't look as threatening as their side last season - no Marquis, Kane and Wilks. But I'd still be happy with a draw. Just not convinced we can score away especially without JCH and Sercs.
