Puddy.Didn't let us down, kicking excellent.Pity he isn't taller. Flaps a bit but did well.7 Lockyer.Battled well .Distribution appalling.5 Trotman .Solid as a rock until his unfortunate injury. 6 Parkes.Really commanding and my M.O.M.7 Brown.Excellent Centres in absence of any wingers.6 Monkhouse.Stupid sending off. 5. Mansell.Largely anonymous.4 Clarke,Great strike but otherwise ineffective.5 Gosling .No pace but does try to create openings and with such a dearth of creativity, did OK.6 Taylor .Goal threat zero.Simply not good enough.Stupid booking. .2 Harrison .Looked keen .Too many flicks and tricks but lively .Disappointed to see him substituted.6 Mc Crystal.Solid .Stupid booking 6 Cunnington.Did OK.6 DC 6.Must address the total lack of creativity and goal threat. Ref .First season I suspect.5. Telford .Neat stadium.well organised traffic and parking, friendly .Great day However, ,despite the win ,the ball was in the air far too much and our lack of quality was much in evidence,

Puddy 6 not a lot to do. Lockyer 6 solid defensively but less effective going forward Brown 6 solid defensively but surprisingly less effective going forward Trotman 6 solid defensively but ....( broken record!) Parkes 7 his best game for a while MOTM Monkhouse 5 battled hard but added more in a defensive capacity than in the creative third Mansell 5.5 like Monkhouse he was subdued in the forward sense but did get one shot off..no qualms about the defensive aspect of his performance Clarke 6.5 ran his socks off and unlike most of the team it was occasionally in the forward direction. Second best Rovers player on the pitch. Gosling 5 plenty of effort not much end product today Taylor 5 plenty of effort not much end product today Harrison 5 plenty of effort but not much end product today
McChrystal 6 slotted in seamlessly to complete a solid display by the defence. Cunnington 5 did pep things up a bit when he came on but it would be unfair to mark him higher for a cameo appearance than the other hard working members of a misfiring attacking unit.
DC 6 seems to have dealt well with a dissenter in the crowd Ref 5 poor last twenty minutes - he'd been alright before that Crowd 7 Telford 4 some neat midfield play but lacking at both ends of the pitch

Puddy 6 coped well, not a save to make of any note Brown 6 defended well, nothing much going forward Trotman 6 usual display until injured Parkes 7.5 won so many important headers Lockyer 6 same as brown Gosling 5 feel he would be better on the left Mansell 6 gave his all in the midfield battle and battle it was Clarke 7 same as mansell but got the all important goal Monkhouse 5 looking more moblie but is no winger Taylor 4 do not think he touched the ball in the box,to physical a game for him i felt Harrison 5 never really got the pass over the top to use his pace, where his big threat was
McCrystal 6 was worried when Trots went off,but McCrystal slotted in well and looked composed
Cunnington 4 gave us a bit more height but not much else
DC 6 had the players well up for it,hope we play more on the deck against the better football teams
Ref 2 lost the plot at the end of the game Telford 5 battled for the whole game

Puddy 7 Competent performance without being overly tested
Lockyer 6.5 Usual solid display, continuing to improve at right back Trotman 7 Strong defensive headers until injured Parkes 8 Much improved from recent weeks, strong in the air and MOTM Brown 6.5 Did well getting forward in the first half with 3-5-2 solid defensively in 2nd half 4-4-2
Monkhouse 5 Played reasonably well, confident on the ball, stupid sending off, elbow unintentional - i think. Mansell 6 Good defensive midfield display Clarke 6.5 Seemed more confident and his goal will help further Gosling 5 A few nice touches but not in the game enough
Taylor 4 Ineffective and missed a couple of chances, one from about 5 yards where he failed to make contact with the ball Harrison 6.5 Proved a bit of a handful at times, still a very raw talent
Subs: McChrystal 7 Good solid display Cunnington 5 Didn't get into the game much as we defended a fair bit towards the end
DC 7 Did enough to get us 3 points and nice see him embrace the unhappy fan Ref 2 Dreadful, lost control towards the end and went card happy. Lost track of time and played 7 or 8 minutes over. Telford also hard done by especially with the back pass, it was a comedy of errors, awarded back pass decision then the linesman collapsed on the line and the ref seemed to forget his decision and gave the ball to Puddy. Telford 7 Quite impressed, nothing flash but did all the basics well and worked hard for each other. We were fortunate to take all 3 points, don't see them getting relegated despite their current position.
