Fearing the worst for this one, Pompey have picked up lately and we are struggling. Not sure how long Sercombe is out for but we could do with him back as O Clarke offers us little going forward.
Obviously Lee Brown and Ellis Harrison will be back for this one. Both should get good receptions for their contributions during their time here.
Prediction: Bristol Rovers 0-1 Portsmouth

Not an all ticket game. Portsmouth sold their allocation some time ago - so with POTD - surprised the Police didn't make it all ticket. I'm hoping for some sort of bounce back from Tuesday. So fingers crossed 0-0.

Head says 0-2 Pompey - gut feels we are going to get smashed! I’ll still be there! UTG!

Got a feeling our Sercombe & JCH-less 352 has been sussed (and just isn’t very good) - so unfortunately can only see a defeat.
We do always seem to give Pompey a decent game, though.

Well I’m going to be a bit more positive and say a 2-0 win with goals from Upson and Smith. We are above them in the league and at home. What have we got to fear?

Might just turn a round and go back home, if Cogs announces he's starting Nichols and Clarke.

I’m hoping for a positive reaction from the players after a sh** week and for the crowd to get behind whoever is selected. But.....,,,if we start with a flat back five and three defensive midfielders with two inexperienced, isolated strikers it could be a tough afternoon.

Cant we do a "stockport" and get it called off with heavy rain etc? plus i can then just slob out in front the tv and not get soaked and depressed.

We just need to find a way of supporting the strikers a bit more, they are often so isolated. We create so little that whoever is picked to play up front is under huge pressure because at best they are likely to get one chance at best. Victor and Nichols had one chance each if I remember rightly from Tuesday - might be wrong because it was such a forgettable performance!

Maybe stick with what we have but bring leahy back, play upson higher and let clarke find his way back in by being combative in cdm which in my opinion is what he’s best at bar the odd long ranger! I’d stick with my two up top though!

We do always seem to give Pompey a decent game, though. 3-5-2 can still work without JCH but we’ll have to have someone creative in midfield and keep it in the deck. Hoofing it down the middle won’t work, as we saw Tuesday.

Think a draw. Maybe we should all settle for that.

Think a draw. Maybe we should all settle for that. I’d definitely take a draw tomorrow . I think we’ll go 3-5-2 with three central defenders and three defensive midfielders sat right in front of them and hoof it down the middle to Pompeys defence when we’ve got the ball which won’t be often and we’ll lose 2 or three 3 nil. Really hope I’m wrong but we seem to have one way of playing and it only really works when JCH is there.

Pompey fans will no doubt have a spring in their step after tonights result in the premier league.
