Better, GC, much better than Tue....you took off the right players and made the corrections to 4-4-2, if only too late to stop the second goal.....but I still think we got out of jail here and 80 minutes we were second to the ball, non movement in possession, didn't chase them enough in their possession, didn't stop crosses or block the shots....we were poor today and picked up one point - luckily - against two teams down on their luck.
We need better though, GC..
Jaakkola 8 kept us in it.
Davies 6.5 not best.
Craig 6 rightly subbed.
Kilgour 7 best of back.
Rodman 7.5 good game.
Upson 7 better than Tues, more like it.
Ogogo 8.5 m o m everywhere and fantastic.
Clarke 4.5 sh*te.
Leahy 5 can't remember one tackle block or challenge.
Smith 6 worked hard, nothing to show.
Adeboyejo 6 worked hard, nothing to show.

Portsmouth 6 a third division club semi organised and will definitely stay up but I think we are capable of finishing above them and that would be a good benchmark.

Jaakkola 8.5 Pulled off a couple of terrific saves
Davies 6.5 Solid enough but one or two shaky moments
Craig 7 Marshalled the defence well and seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Score would have been higher but for a poor clearance which led to their second goal.
Kilgour 6 The usual big effort from this promising youngster, one or two clearances and headers a bit wayward.
Rodman 7 Felt he was a little below par today, played more defensively and didn't get down the wing much instead opting for a long ball. An extra point for his goal. Had another chance near the end which demonstrates how he's better suited to 4-4-2 giving him more freedom to get forward. He's done a good job though playing in a position he's not used to.
Upson 7.5 Excellent first half and overall much closer to his best.
Ogogo 9 MotM Great performance, he was every where and made his presence count.
Clarke 6 A much better performance than tuesday v's Bolton
Leahy 7 A welcome return, got down the wing well, crossing and corners could be improved. Guilty of the push which led to their penalty but I feel their striker would have scored anyway.
Smith 6.5 Worked hard with little reward
Adeboyejo 6 As above but struggled to keep the ball.
Subs: Sercombe 7.5 Made a big difference, let's hope he's fit enough to start next week.
Little NOLE
Bennett NOLE but didn't do anything of note.
Crowd 7 Fair play for turning out in sh*t weather
Ref 7 Steady enough, kept control well although GC wasn't too impresses it seems.
Portsmouth 7 Some decent players up front but wobbly at the back at times, expect them to climb the table a bit.

Upson 7 better than Tuesday Ogogo 8.5 M.o.M an absolute pest, there was never a lost cause for him. Clarke 5.5 still way below his best. Leahy 5 cant tackle, cant beat his man,not impressed. Smith 6 ran his socks off but well marshalled by the Pompey giants Adeboyejo 6.5 very much work in progress but never gave up. Subs: Sercombe 6.5 we improved when he came on. Little n.o.l.e Bennett n.o.l.e Crowd 8 good support even at 0-2 down Ref 5 fussy and inconsistent, he wanted to be the star of the show Portsmouth 6 bang average |

Ogogo 8 MoM all over the pitch with some excellent tackling
Clarke 4 Still not at his best, if Sercombe was fit enough to be on the bench why not play him from the start.
Leahy 4 Stupid push for penalty,
Smith 4 Ran around a lot without achieving anything, much like Bennet.
Adeboyejo 6 Tried hard, held the ball up at times with very poor service.
Subs: Sercombe 7 Changed the game in our favour when he came on

Portsmouth 5 A better side would have won the game with the start we gave them.
For over 70 minutes we never looked like scoring and never offered much, Pompey really should have seen this game out as we were there for the taking.

Jaakkola 7.7 - some very good saves but not totally commanding
Davies 5.5 - going through a shaky patch
Craig 5 - at fault for the second goal
Kilgour 5 - lost his way a bit but will come good again
Rodman 7 - extra mark for the goal. Should consider playing him up front as he is the best forward in the air excluding JCH and will score more goals in a season than Smith, Nicholls and Victor combined
Upson 6 - inconsistent
Ogogo 8.5 - amazing workrate and ball winning ability. Rapidly becoming my favourite player
Clarke 5 - clearly not match fit. Hopefully we will get the benefit later of playing him into fitness
Leahy 5.5 - silly push for the goal and crossing not great. However still currently the best option at left wingback
Smith 5 - good pace but too lightweight
Adeboyejo 5.5 - a few good moments and hopefully with game time will get better
Subs: Sercombe 7 - we need him in the three man midfield
