Lol was the C4? What a cock up that was The problem with the Channel 4 incident was that it was no mistake. Watch the video and there is no way you can think he said "colour". The edit had to be deliberate, and for a short while it worked. Just look at the reaction on here ! Don't forget, that Channel 4 is largely funded by taxpayers money. Remember Jon Snow and his "feck the Tories" comment. The head of Channel 4 news described Johnson as a "liar". It's time the news agencies went back to reporting the news and stop trying to make it ! I dunno, the issued a pretty big apology for it. A lot of the time these things are by computers too. I'm not ruling it out, but I don't think they'd do that, purely on the basis they apologised and the fact that they got called out completely, which was obviously inevitable.. There was no gain in lying IMO. The bigger issue I have is from the Sun & Mail - honestly it's disgusting. The amount of fake news they create is sickening. Honestly, I really think we need some laws making this sh*t illegal. And whats worse is idiots believe it. There was an article of Corbyn walking with an elderly gentleman on remembrance Sunday. The Sun photoshopped the man out of it and then made out that from the movements, Corbyn was dancing at the idea that British soldiers died. The fact is that actually the Tories control 90% of the media (and for a very obvious reason, which people are too stupid to realise why) and sadly news is very rarely reported in truth. BBC is usually my main source of news, but since this election I'm switching to Sky. They were just as pro tory as any of the others at times. Corbyn brings out documents of selling the NHS, border between UK and N. Ireland & Boris taking the phone - yet it doesn't make the website head news. But suddenly the Rabbi who is known to support Boris & Tories mentions that Corbyn hates jews (lie), its the top story on the website for 2 days. Disgraceful.

It’s all about perceptions I guess, I watch it pretty religiously and to me it depends on where it is held as to which views seem to come across the loudest. Mostly it’s equal but some places have been more vocally leave while London is more skewed to remain reflecting the national divide (although the Beeb stress that each audience is a 52/48 split as per the referendum). Overall though I don’t think Laura K’s behaviour can be classed as particularly neutral and there was a BBC reporter who, when talking about the polling said about Boris getting a win he “so deserves”, a Freudian slip on her part I believe. So imo for every piece of left wing evidence you can probably find enough going the other way and let.’s be fair it’s not like Andrew Neil was told to go easy on the likes of Corbyn and Swinson and the coverage last night was damning of Labour. It's not the audience I'm talking about, but the panel. Remainers always outnumber leavers. Again I don’t see it, the standard format is a labour, tory, Lib Dem mp along with either a brexit party mp or a political commentator who is pro-brexit and then a celebrity or economist of some description who can be anywhere on the spectrum.

There is so much right wing press out there it’s ridiculous. Wouldn’t be so bad if they played fair but as you say they have an agenda and won’t let the truth get in the way of it and yes, people believe it.

Sky News are in no way pro-Tory. Whatever gave you that idea. Boulton is married to one of Tony Blair's closest advisors. Lewis whathisname is an ex-Labour activist who will soon leave Sky to head up Newnight on the BBC. Beff Rigby can hardly contain her hatred of Boris Johnson.

I don't think there is a single right-wing newspaper in the UK is there? The Daily Mail became an anti-Brexit paper after changing it's Editor. As for the document about "selling the NHS to the US" well that was shown to be false when people started looking at the documentation. It was pure scare-mongering by Labour. That story died a death because there wasn't any story ! And you cannot deny that Labour does have an anti-seminite problem. It's not fake news. It's real.

Labour need to change their complete leadership team, not just Corbyn. Abbott, Thornberry and McDonald are just third-rate. They have to completely change their policies. Their Nationalisation policy was an utter joke. They need to stop with this 'save our NHS' nonsense. You will not fix the NHS by just pouring money in. Plus, the performance of the Labour controlled NHS in Wales is shocking! They will never win an election based on scare-mongering about the NHS. Sort out their anti-seminite problem. Get rid of Momentum. They have already lost the next election as no party has ever overturned such a large defeat in a single Parliament. They have plenty of time to re-build.

The daily mail is totally right wing- my step dad reads it religiously and he is literally the very caricature of a dyed in the wool conservative, the telegraph love running articles celebrating how the rich avoid tax so I would say they are right wing too. The Sun is also not exactly moderate

I’ll give you that, that their record in Wales is pretty dismal and a worrying audition for Westminster government, although they claim their hands are tied by westminster

The BBC should be pay for view, why should everyone have to pay for the BBC to live it up on a tax paid by some of the poorest people in the Country ? To be honest would you miss the BBC and the sh**e it puts out ? Maybe I’m in a minority but I quite like it, although it probably has to modernise to compete with steaming services etc. I was more concerned that a Tory majority would see us creeping towards state interference in broadcasting, which, let’s be honest here, would be as Tory a thing to do as nationalising private industry would be a Labour thing to do. That’s why I asked for more information as that was what the source I read was insinuating but it sounds like, according to trevorgas, it wasn’t their license to operate itself but the license fee that was being discussed and as you can see by omitting the word “fee” it makes it sound like a totally different and more worrying issue (especially when out with the threats towards channel 4). So I’m more reassured now that what I had read was scaremongering. Quite like it? It's a fantastic service for the fee. Don't forget it includes all the radio channels and iPlayer. Everyone I know, without exception, watches it. Young, old, left, right, male, female and other gender categories.... They don't all pay for the licence, of course. I'd guess hundreds of thousands of students and other young people use it to watch catch-up on their phones and laptops. And no bloody ads!! How people can complain about the licence fee for all the news and entertainment it offers, yet still be happy to cough up £75 a month for Sky, is beyond me.

I truly hope that there is no "revenge" antics from the government. The BBC is fantastic, both actually and relatively. If you have any doubts go to the States and watch the absolute drivel they push out.

I voted Tory because I couldn't stomach the idea of Corbyn's politics. Don't kid yourself, it's not about Brexit, although it certainly didn't help. Formerly high ranking Blairite Labour politicians have it right when they say it was a rejection of his far left policies which were rejected decades ago and still are rejected now.
That said whilst I'm very happy to see Corbyn trounced, and say he's about to go, I'm disappointed it was with such a strong majority. That's not good for anyone, as now more than ever we need a strong opposition to ensure good government.
I sincerely hope that either Labour elect a strong, more centrist leader so that we have a decent alternative next time, or that a new party which can provide that much needed opposition can grow from the ashes of the Labour Party, possibly from the Lib Dems too.
Leave the far left ideas at the door though.

Leave the far left ideas at the door though. Agree with most of that. But any party that rises from this mess must try to understand their constituency, not fight old battles. So a logical set of policies which people can identify with from within their own life experiences is crucial.
