Ah, so it was cancelled on the advice of the Police then............why do you bother posting nonsense like this? On advice of the police? Were they worried that Johnson's arrogance might be challenged by 5 protesters? Pathetic. He's running scared. Don’t forget how he ran away from a load of mums and dads who booed a bit outside the palace in Luxembourg. Compared to that he must have been absolutely terrified of 5 protestors turning up to a hustings!

Still running (away) General election: Anger as Boris Johnson refuses to attend his own constituency hustings flip.it/Upei2nSo what? What are the consequences? I think we’ve just taken it for granted that people do these things out of a sense of duty and fair play and it isn’t until someone breaks with that convention that you realise that there are no consequences for failing to engage or be held accountable. It’s why Johnson lies more than any other politician in our lifetimes. He knows that whatever he does there are zero consequences, certainly whilst Corbyn is around. Corbyn gets one last chance tonight and if I was him I’d just hammer on Johnson’s trust worthiness, his tangible record of duplicity, suppressed Russia report, avoidance of scrutiny etc. Just make it all about Johnson, there is enough ammo there to sink a battleship. I'm half expecting tbe Russia report to get leaked just before the election, maybe Sunday or Monday. It probably won't though.

There was plenty of spin and faux outrage on here about JRM when he spoke about Grenfell. He was criticised for suggesting the advice of emergency services should have been ignored. When BJ follows emergency service he is also criticised. It reminds me of the clip Nobby posted yesterday when views are strongly expressed when someone thinks their foe was the guilty partly and then squirm, back track or run away when it was revealed to be about their hero.

It was the Luxembourg politician who came out of that worse IMHO.

Probably, but Government shouldn"t be able to pick and choose which ones, some are done to benefit the Government too.

For Nobby and his sidekick Eric, now to be known as Yogi and Boo Boo.
The letter from our lady in the USA,
“I have been increasingly dismayed by the way in which our political leaders have tried to deliver Brexit, with reluctance to address honestly, even with our own citizens, the challenges and trade-offs which Brexit involves; the use of misleading or disingenuous arguments about the implications of the various options before us; and some behaviour towards our institutions, which, were it happening in another country, we would almost certainly as diplomats have received instructions to register our concern,” she wrote in her letter, dated December 3.
There you have it. We have a Government of charlatans and liars.

There you have it. We have a Government of charlatans and liars. No Oldie, just no. One person's opinion does not reflect on the whole. How stupid of you to even think that, and sorry, but who is she? Oldie, can you explain to me this. In your opinion, Brexit will hurt or even ruin the British economy. You are against Brexit. Yet I am sure you are perfectly aware, especially after 25 rip roaring years in the City, that a Corbyn government would ruin the British economy, yet you say you support Labour and their policies. How do you sleep at night?

Leaving means that the government will have the ability to change the VAT on any product. The Tampon issue just highlights the complete lack of control the UK government currently have. The EU say that VAT has to be imposed on tampons and there is nothing the UK government can do to stop it.
