just had a looked at the L1 tables after 16 games for the last two seasons.
Last season were 1 place above the relegation position (on goal difference) with 14 points.
This season just outside the play off positions with 25 points.
What a turn around in performance!

Since GC has been in charge our form from December until now has been pretty much promotion form.
You can't argue with that

Just over month later and DC was gone!

While everyone’s opinion on GC may differ, you can’t argue that in Jaakola, Davies, Ogogo & Clark Harris he has brought in 4 quality additions to the football club, since he took over from DC.

Would like to see how we are with a squad all signed by GC seems to get most spot on, football ain't pleasant on the eye but you cannot argue with the results.

I agree with you, it’s a shame Josh Hare got injured as he looked another great signing. If we could get all our injuries cleared up ,I think the starting 11 would be predominantly be GC players when you add Little & Leahy.

Well said OP. We are a solid L1 side now - looking up and not down. The signings have been great,, Ed Upson rejuvenated and Alfie Kilgour a star in the making. Just wish we had more positivity on this forum. We know the owners have let us down with the training ground and the stadium but there's sod all we can do about that. I hope the crowds improve as I think GC, his staff and especially the players deserve it. Looking forward to Bromley in the cup and a rare 1st rd win

It's beginning to look frightening what GC can do without the burden of DC's signings and subsequent wage bill. If you look at the facts his results and signings are there for all to see. I don't know what coaching badges he has, but can someone tell him not to get anymore. We don't want the heart knocked out of him by academics.

Not sure that rodman, craig, upson, ollie clarke and sercombe have been too much of a burden,,also kilgour was given a new contract under dc. If you think we will be better once we get rid of the above mentioned players then that is your view. I just disagree. Also for the 2nd time in recent matches coughlan has picked kelly over leahy so maybe the manager is more concerned about winning than bothering to worry who signed the players?

Agree it’s looking rosier on the pitch albeit the football is fugly
I’ll take fugly football for a shot at the playoffs
And once thing to mention about GC
He’s looking long and hard at the academy something I know DC never did
There’s some nuggets in there and he will spot them , give them a chance and the rest is up to them
Expect to see some minutes for the young u18 striker Phillips v Bromley

totally agree with the op,the only real negative is the overall feeling of uncertainty at the club. The recruitment has mostly been very good and maybe with little playing a full game today could be looking even better. All the players know what their roles are within the team and their is a brutal simplicity and professionalism about the way they go about their business. I think we have a decent chance of finishing in the top half and who knows maybe more.

The point I made was comparing bad signings not good ones.

Yes he has and the loans, Smith and Victor have had a fair amount of game time as well which should please Sheffield U and Barnsley. UTG!

I didn’t go to the game yesterday but is anyone else concerned that we got dominated? All impartial news reports seems like we were lucky to get a win. Is this grinding results out sustainable?
