Fab Win and weekend now set fair.
Something to think about this weekend .... COULD Rovers terminate Bennett’s contract to allow him to join Swindon for free technically and facilitate Eoin Doyle joining us on loan for the second half of the season ?
Anything is possible and Bradford should be keen to slow down the progress of one of their competitors for promotion ... GC make the call !!

He was dogshit for Bradford in league 1 last season and they couldn’t wait to get him off their wage bill.He couldnt contribute less than Bennett I suppose though.

Im pretty sure if it was that simple the we would have offered Bennett that already.
Thing is if he is "pushed out" or we let him go like you said then we would have to pay the rest of his wages that he would be own from his contact. It was what happened with him at pompey for his move to us.
Difference is,that we pretty much matched his £4k wages he was on there, while Swindon cant with what he is on here.
You cant blame the lad for not wanting to give up huge amount of money.

He won’t give up the contract without it being paid and you can’t blame him for that. It it had been easy to do I’m sure we would have done it. I guess we’ll have to put up with it until nearer the end of the contract when KB will be prepared to walk away or we can pay it up, hopefully GC will be able to find a way to use the skills KB has in some way to benefit the team. Hopefully! UTG!

The only way we could get KB to join Swindon is buy up his contract less whatever Swindon will pay him, if he's really on £4K p.w. then I assume the max Swindon will pay is £2K p.w., so that's the best part of £100K we'll have to find, or all the money from our FA Cup run! Question is after 5 straight win taking them to top of the table is do they really now need Bennett, is up to League 1 football again next season if they do get promoted, if he then is a fraud for us!!

Thing is even then it will still count towards fair play rules and we are at the maximum. So if he was on 4k and Swindon only agreed to pay 2k, we would still only have 2k to spend. Because you have to submit figures soon, for the January window.

As Payne's pay off won't count and we will have Bennett and Nichols off the wage budget.

TBH I can't imagine anybody having an easier job than this season of making the top 6, even top 3, as the division seems the weakest it's been for years. FFS Wycombe are now clear at the top having only lost 1 game!!

Bennet has another year after this season ends I believe Please God No. Pretty sure he was given a 3.5 year deal, it’ll be easier to shift him in the summer anyway as he’ll be thinking long term he wants a 2-3 year some where else. That’ll be harder if he’s not played regular for the best part of 2 years

FFS Wycombe are now clear at the top having only lost 1 game!! Not talking about the rest of the league. Talking about our manager being able to have the squad he wants. This season he struggled to bring in forward player's, as the attacking budget is tied up. Next season they will have a bit more to spend on the attacking player's they want. League 1 is always pretty open and you normally get atleast one suprise team. Luton last season, Shrewsbury were flying the season before, but messed it up at the end of the season. They even had Payne and Rodman in thier team.

Oxford realised this and took the chance and got snake, and listening to Karl Robinson they are paying most if not all his wages.
