Oh dear TW how out of touch can you be with BRFC and our fanbase? On paper championship team loans league one team might sound feasible but not an option here and stupid to go public with such a crass statement.

No way , surely this is a wind up ? I would genuinely turn my back on the gas ( as much as it would break my heart ) and never return.

Its almost as if there isn’t 90 other league clubs outside the city of Bristol.
Radical thinking Thomas, but the vast majority of Gasheads want our club to have absolutely nothing to do with Little Lee, Turncoat Steven & the silver spoon son.

He isn’t coming back from that suggestion for me! I thought we were planning on developing and using our own youth?

Well, that went down well. Perhaps because I don’t live in Bristol and haven’t done so for 40 years means I have a slightly different perspective on it. I would say if it gave us an advantage over our rivals in League 1 and we gained good quality players then I’d say ok. And if we got good quality players and our League 1 rivals didn’t get them then why not. After the last three years when the gap has got bigger we are definitely not a Championship club but things change and they are just one very bad season away from joining us in League 1 and we are just one very good season away from the Championship. And in the end I hope our owners, manager and anyone in charge of BRFC make decisions on the basis of what is best for BRFC. But I understand Bristolians might have a different feel to it! UTG! I haven't lived in Bristol for years, but have been an active supporter for almost 70. In that context, I have never been able to understand those fans who seem to be more interested in hating the s***, rather than supporting the Gas. This current spat seems to me to well illustrate the problem. To me, the key thing is whether a young City player would strengthen our team. If so, but as a consequence we improve him for them, I don't care. Unfortunately, I don't know which City young players, if any, would strengthen us, although I see Pirate has a suggestion. At 73 I grew up a long time ago, some of our fans still need some work on that process. Onwards and upwards

Completely out of touch with the club. The thought of helping them makes my stomach churn. The rivalry is lost on non-Bristolians.

There are hundreds of other football clubs with players that could be signed or taken on-loan without helping '82.

Maybe we could borrow their training gear from last season and some of their supporters to help fill our ground. Then, we can all start referring to them as our ‘big brother’. Might as well lose all of our dignity rather than doing things halfheartedly.

Didn't we loan Akinde, that went well. I'd rather play our own youth but would sign out of contract players as others have said.

He used to make games. Monopoly was my favourite. If the Mem was on a monopoly board would we be Park Lane or the Old Whitechapel Road? Or perhaps Coventry Street. UTG! We never seem to get past Go.

TW is clearly out of touch - with how childish and petty football fans can be.

Maybe Tony Waddington could be onto something here.
Only a matter of time before we are their feeder club.
What an absolute clown.
Really disappointed in him for this. How out of touch can the people at our club be?
