We don't have one w/o Ogogo in the side, surely Hargreaves or Russe can't be any worse? Watching last night we had a decent defence and attack and massive a gap in the middle!! So frustrating the number of times Clarke received the ball in acres of space, turned towards our own goal and made a five yard passback to one of our back three. Yes he made a couple of runs forward but overall another one of his disinterested games. We improved noticeably in that department when Tomlinson came on for Upson and once again proved to me Clarke and Upson should not be in the same midfield. Based on performances over this season Upson gets my vote over Clarke without any doubt. Ed Upson was dreadful last night; Ollie Clarke Had one driving run and shot that left the keeper stranded unfortunately it just went wide. Tony Craig was a rock in the heart of the defence more than once he put in blocks and last ditch tackles to save the embarrassment of the others around him.
The penalty takers were sublime in the execution of their efforts; I expected Craigie to wallop the ball instead he place it perfectly. As for Jordi in goal, a pretty accomplished performance all round.
Nice to see Matt Harold out on the pitch although a bit of a cameo performance; he dispatched his penalty as well as he ever did for the Gas.
I did see Wael before the game; just before I climbed up into the fridgelike East Stand

Well that was utter sh** and once again their number 10 destroyed our midfield (did we have one ?) JCH was crap, he had a job to run. Still was interesting standing next to Ken Masters for most of the game and had some interesting chats  Guess that counts towards improving the engagement with fans. We might have moved up a place. Anything interesting to tell us Henbury? He made me sign a NDA so can't say but he had a smile on his face when i asked a certain question about our future Could have been trapped wind mind you |

Can't say I enjoyed the game - absolutely freezing and got the impression our players were told to take no risks of getting injured - a lot of the game felt like a pre-season friendly. Players kept losing their footing from both teams. JCH looked uninterested this time, but I reckon will be firing on all cylinders on Saturday.
There is no way the O's should have scored - their player climbed all over JCH and the referee gave THEM a free kick, which they took quickly whilst our players seemed to stand around in disbelief - "play to the whistle" might have been appropriate but honestly nobody in our team or the crowd (can we call it a crowd when it's that low) had a clue why the O's got the free kick.
The result is what mattered and hopefully a win on Saturday will see us very close to a playoff position.
Loads of people sat near me in the East Stand were watching Liverpool on their phones, felt really strange seeing that.
