It would have been difficult for a neutral supporter to decide which was the league 2 side. Well done to those who braved the cold night to watch a less than inspiring performance, it was bad enough sat in the confort of my home watching it. Positives to take from the game were Tomlinson's performance, and our ability to take penalties. Negatives: the midfield. Upson made so many mistakes and Ollie just isnt on his game. It was difficult to suggest a MOM but Craig was Mr reliable as ever and the one driving run he made through midfield showed determination. Exeter away in the next round would give me a easy journey to become a scab for the day They say a cup competition favours the underdog and Rovers always playing crap against lower league opposition helps prove the theory.

I’d say Portsmouth and Ipswich are probably the teams to avoid, anyone else and we’d have to be favourites to go through.

£ 20,000 better off.New tent? Between this competition and the two FA Cup games going to tv, we must have made over 100k through prize money already this season? As far as the latest Leasing.com cup game against Orient is concerned the finance is as stated on the EFL web site competition rules Each club receives 45% of "profit" EFL gets 10%. (Any loses are covered by the EFL out of "pooled" profit from the sponsor and Wembley Final. The EFL gets the money from the final and pools it to distribute through all teams.)Crowd income 865 x average £10 = £8650 Win bonus= £5000 Max away club travel expenses= £2400 Home club match day expenses, stewards ref fee lighting etc = £2250? Thus total income £8650 less expenses of £4650 = £4000 for game
Rovers share 45% =£1800. plus win bonus £5000 = £6500. less wages of players appearance money and win bonus from their contracts. (average £500 + £100 = £600 per player x 18 squad? =£10800 Resulting in £6500 -£10800 = -£4300 LOSS fortunately covered by the EFL so result £NIL, but at least 2 U21 English teams (plus veterans and foreign players) are able to progress in the competion!!! ps. We all have our own opinions but there are some 7000- 9000 gas fans who failed to watch the Orient game with some of those who express an opinion that Wael has lost the faith and is not interested anymore. But Wael was there stood in the cold on the terrace with fans supporting "his Team" and supporting the losses. How many other owners would have done that? UTG

Fair play to him, although this rather reminds me of the Captain of the Titanic.
