All the vitriol and finger pointing aimed at the emergency services and government, this lot rarely get mentioned in the media other than the odd article, so surprising to see a big article on it...
Could you get any lower.
Do any of the Grenfell protestors have anything to say about these people? Seems to get brushed under the carpet.

Puzzling when it was rightly such a high profile disaster that each of these cases hasn’t warranted more media coverage.

Scumbags, the lot of them. I don't suppose they care too much about anyone or anything, and they'll be at it again once they're free.

They are all just vile scum of the earth, cashing in on other people's misfortune and misery is about as low as you can get.
The Sentences were far too lenient imo.

Surely at some stage, someone should have taken the trouble to verify these claimants before the cash was splashed. Shocking.

Surely at some stage, someone should have taken the trouble to verify these claimants before the cash was splashed. Shocking. There was so much media pressure on the government and local authority to get people housed and compensated that this was bound to happen. It’s a shame that even in the aftermath of such a terrible disaster we cannot trust people to act in an honourable fashion. They should get life sentences and only be allowed early release (after say ten years) if they repay every single penny they stole and reimburse the state for the cost of their legal aid.

Amazing when you think of the amount of compassion around from every level of society at the time. These people need to be taught a very harsh lesson.

Surely at some stage, someone should have taken the trouble to verify these claimants before the cash was splashed. Shocking. One of the problems the authorities had was the fact that many of the council flats in the block had been subletted out. Apartments in Kensington can be very expensive, so many of the people allocated council flats in the block would sublet them making a nice little profit every month. This meant that the authorities really didn't know who was living there.
