Jaakkola 7
Menayese 9 Commanding won everything in the air that came his way and showed good skill on the ground Craig 8.5 Led the back line well and won everything in the air Kilgour 8.5 Very solid and good in the air
Rodman 8 very good all round performance Upson 7.5 Clarke 7 Sercombe 7.5 Leahy 8 great defensively
Nichols 7.5 took his goal well and battled very hard. Still slightly out-muscled but no complaints over his performance Smith 7.5 showed great pace and troubled their centre backs constantly. Good finish with his goal and unlucky to have a header saved
Subs: Adeboyejo 6.5 battled well Tomlinson battled well
Crowd 9 - great noise throughout from the Gasheads Ref 4 Ipswich 6 very disappointing in the final third and looked slow and vulnerable in the middle of the defence
At the end of the game with players and GC celebrating with the fans, for the first time, I was starting to believe that GC could get us promotion. Then as the news re GC filtered through to fans in the Punch and Judy pub after the game it felt very flat, the possible disruption of a new management team and possibly dire financial news to come out of the club, it felt like a typical Bristol Rovers fan experience of being let-down

Referee Never seen such a one-sided home supporting ref for a very long time. The number of times Rovers players appealed / complained about his decisions en masse was incredible for a Rovers team that usually do not question refereeing decisions. The handball shout was the only Ipswich claim that he turned down; I think most if not all referees would have turned it down.
Sending off was a joke; looks like complete “balls up” between referee and 4th official. Referee was not initially going to book Clarke but only finally did it after Ipswich sideline urging! Clarke should not have touched ball as it was also going out and was on yellow?
Rovers did not deserve to lose and would have done better with a better referee?
Match Officials Ipswich Town v Bristol Rovers JAMES ADCOCK Kevin Howick and Paul Yates Fourth Official : Ryan Whitaker
The referee is in the select Group 2 of EFL referees. No wonder most referees and linesmen in this country are regarded as a joke?
Referee: 1 (handball appeal turned down awarded 1 point)

Results in and Rollin Menayese is Man of the Match with a score of 8.57.
Menayese, Craig, Kilgour and Leahy (and Tomlinson) all had their best ever rating in this game. Smith had his best ever rating for a league game.
The starting XI average was 7.51, the 7th highest for an away game in these threads. Bolton 16/17 (8.50), Northampton 17/18 (8.13), Oxford 16/17 (7.73), Walsall 18/19 (7.61), Luton 15/16 (7.58) , MK Dons 17/18 (7.52) are the away games that rated higher.
The referee rating of 2.3 was the lowest this season. Only two games had referees rated lower last season. These were actually both against Shrewsbury where both times the referee got 1.2.
Jaakkola 7.8
Menayese 8.6 Craig 8.2 Kilgour 8.0
Rodman 7.6 Upson 7.1 Clarke 6.4 Sercombe 6.9 Leahy 7.4
Nichols 7.4 Smith 7.2
Subs: Adeboyejo 6.4 Tomlinson 6.6
