I believe he actually said "The stadium is fine" "The budget is good" "The training facilities are fine & better than Sheffield Wednesday's" A year ago, he was joyous at his first chance to be a manager. Suddenly he's potentially throwing us under a bus because the things he said were fine last season, are suddenly not fine. Doesn't leave a nice taste in my mouth. To be fair Gassy, didn't he only respond to a question asking how far can he take this club by responding "I don't know" and then stated he had a personal decision to make after talking to his wife and kids. Nothing specifically related to the training ground, budget etc? Or have I missed something? As you know I work away a lot and it definitely puts a lot of strain on my home life. Give it a few years and I guarantee I will need to change it because I know it has a shelf life if I want to keep my relationships at home going. I wonder if this is what is driving GC in this situation. I personally don't see it as GC throwing us under a bus. If he leaves then he's left us considerably better off position-wise than when he took over a year ago. And this is coming from someone who has never quite taken to him as much as I did DC. GC deserves and has deserved more credit than he's gotten from us Gasheads. I get what you are saying. But wouldn't you plan an exit strategy that was reasonable to both you and your employer rather than just suddenly dropping a bombshell on everyone out of nowhere? If things have changed quickly at home or if someone has become ill for example then surely you ask for a week's initial leave to go home to try and sort the issue or to at least see if it can be sorted. You then keep in contact with your employer and let them know where things are going. You don't just turn around with no warning and say I'm going to have a think tonight and tell you if I'm leaving tomorrow. And then by chance another potential employer just happens to open up a position for you within hours of your announcement. It kind of stinks if you ask me. I hope for GC's sake that there is nothing seriously wrong in terms of his family life but I don't feel like he's gone about this the right way at all.

The club is losing thousands every week and seems wael is plugging holes and trying to sell up and get out as we’re a sinking ship financially, We all know this so why would the club Chuck in more debt on a gamble that we make the play off’s Let’s be realistic like they have to be..even if we did make the play offs we wouldn’t win them as we have a weak squad and will be struggling to field our best 11 at the end of the season.
Bottom line is like we’ve done for a while we’ve over achieved on the pitch and failed miserably off the pitch
I expect mansell to take over and the board making inquiries. Holloway looking excited in the interview last night but I can’t see him taking over as they would have given him the job instead of graham

Any way of watching EFL on quest on catch up? When I’ve looked before it hasn’t been able on virgin media.

If this is all about Family, then surely GC must have known all about the commitment required before making the decision to become our Manager? Not sure this sits right with me at all.

i reckon he has asked the owners for funds with the window approaching and they have fobbed him off and that helped make his mind up, similar scenario to DC !! Until Wael & Co sale up and bugger off and we get decent owners I can’t see anything changing ☹️

Until Wael & Co sale up and bugger off and we get decent owners I can’t see anything changing ☹️ I think it's already been touched upon that due to Fair Play rules we CAN'T spend anymore money in the transfer window. And he must have been aware of this quite some time ago. If we were struggling in the bottom 4 then I can understand his frustration, but we're not. We've actually got a real chance of doing something this Season, with the squad we've got. To jack it in, now, in the manner he's done it, is just odd, and quite frankly, unprofessional.

Who knows the truth, but just because you know the situation when you start, doesnt mean circumstances change or things become harder. I find it difficult getting up seeing my kids for 15 mins in the morning, coming home and spending an hour with them before bed in the week sometimes Add in doing a good job and not feeling appreciated as in any line of work and... Football seems to cloud some peoples perceptions, but players, managers are real people, with real lifes and their own problems just like you or I or anyone else

Difficult one

But there must be thousands of players, Managers, staff all employed by Football Clubs that mean they are away from home and families for long times.
