Bennet is the obvious one. Matthews. Mensah. DC gave out some crazy money. f**k me I completely forgot about Matthews. Is he injured or has he effectively been put on gardening leave? And is he seriously a high earner?! did we give them all long contracts ? Clark usually have short contracts out so maybe they will be gone soon |

Who knows the truth, but just because you know the situation when you start, doesnt mean circumstances change or things become harder. I find it difficult getting up seeing my kids for 15 mins in the morning, coming home and spending an hour with them before bed in the week sometimes Add in doing a good job and not feeling appreciated as in any line of work and... Football seems to cloud some peoples perceptions, but players, managers are real people, with real lifes and their own problems just like you or I or anyone else I get that. But there must be thousands of players, Managers, staff all employed by Football Clubs that mean they are away from home and families for long times. I get that, but as i say things change. As i say I dont know the truth, i dont know anything about his family I just find it annoying people say he managed to travel to Southend for 8 years as if his personal life is static. Married, two kids that never grow up, that you never suddenly realiee you have missed x events In an era where we are starting to talk about mental health more, football fans can still resort to putting people on pedestals of how they should feel, or what they should do because they get paid a decent wage |

If this is all about Family, then surely GC must have known all about the commitment required before making the decision to become our Manager? Not sure this sits right with me at all.
