Not Coughlan going but IF the AQs are insisting that key assets are sold to reduce debts then this will only go one way. They will keep selling anything of value !!
I can understand they can’t keep funding a growing debt and are clearly too proud to sell at a loss ... I can’t see a way out of this and think League Two will be our home in the next few years.
The Development squad has never been more important to this club than it is now ...
These are desperate times ... you either see it or your stay blind to it in the hope that it might not happen. We have so many spineless suits in the Boardroom it’s scary and it will implode in my opinion.
Please God I’m wrong ....

Had a leaflet through the door with a telephone number to call free, day or night, where someone will listen and not judge: now where is it...

You say the development squad has never been more important. You are correct. But even they are vulnerable. We have even tried to encourage one of our young kids to join Chelsea even though he didn't want to go. This from his parents at the FA Youth Cup match last week.

Whoever these people are making awful decisions time after times are a cancer to our club.

Supporting Rovers isn't easy. It has never been and probably never will be.
We've established ourselves as a competitive L1 team and the fans dream (rightly) of Championship football. It does seem that whenever we get close to a tilt at the promised land something (eg the Snake and now GC) derails us. Add to that the growing momentum that our best playing asset (JCH) is on his way in January.
Yet I remain optimistic. We will bounce back - we always do. Get the right manager with the right contacts and we will stabilise. Look, wer're 4th in the table. It's a golden opportunity for the right guy.. Usually mid season managers take over at underperforming clubs like Mansfield. The job will be very attractive (subject to finances) to any number of lower league managers. Who knows? Such a guy may even be employed by us at present .....

The amount of sensationalist nonsense going around since GC’s post match chat is incredible. Why was none of this brought to light before 5pm Saturday? I wonder.
Nothing but opportunistic doom merchants piling in on top of bad news looking to twist the knife.

Right if they sell off anything of value the fans will walk, then the value of the club will be minimal cant help thinking this is a wind up, or made up to help his escape.

Nothing but opportunistic doom merchants piling in on top of bad news looking to twist the knife. It’s not exactly news that there is a clock ticking above the club until the liabilities exceed our asset value. We weren’t far off that at the last accounts. How long will they fund us after that point? An easy way to make in-roads into that debt to give them some breathing room is by selling players. JCH alone is probably worth a season’s worth of debt and that’s if we sell cheap.

We used to be in the bloody Conference ffs. This isn't the beginning of anything, it's just par for the course of an indebted club with questionable board management. We didn't end in 2014, and we'll not end tomorrow. Life goes on.

WTF is going on with this forum at the moment. Have the attention seekers just move here now that arguing about the election is over?

Crazy thing is at the moment what with the league position & still being 2 cup competitions, there is an opportunity to generate a substantial amount of extra revenue. Even tomorrow’s match at Plymouth besides the tv money there’s £54000 prize money up for grabs & a home tie with Coventry waiting for the winners. Home tie with Stevenage in the Leasing cup which if successful would mean the club is only 2 games from Wembley & who knows if we could end up in one of the play off spots , what revenue that could generate. Let’s hope the owners hold their nerve & don’t push the panic button just yet.
