Just read that former West Ham United and England World Cup Winner Martin Peters has died. Martin Peters scored one of the goals in England’s World Cup win in 1966. Martin also played for Spurs and Norwich City. A true West Ham legend has now join Bobby Moore in heaven RIP Martin

Very sad news. Without doubt an all-time great. Another of that 66 team taken from us. Only George Cohen, Jack and Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hurst and Roger Hunt still with us.

Very sad, respect to him for what he did and how he carried himself. A very classy player and person. I remember that week after the final in the summer holidays all those years ago, we all played football and pretended to be Geoff Hurst or Bobby Moore or Bobby Charlton or Martin Peters or ...... Great memories. RIP Martin Peters. UTG!
