Unless someone presses charges, or at least gives a statement, the police can't act? Would have thought the club and or stewards would This was a comment by the stewarding company. No mention of disabilities or police involvement here:

Makes me shudder when anyone over the age of 15 uses this phrase... It's the new generations equivalent to "So is your face" and "Not what your Mum said" Please send your feedback via official channels so that is can be dealt with by the appropriate department No thanks. Do you also consider yourself 'woke' and identify as a saucepan? "OK Boomer" shouldn't be allowed on any forum that has an average age over 12, it's pointless and wastes almost 3 seconds of my life to read and roll my eyes at. Nuff said.

I identify as a Gashead who has had enough of people belittling issues like homophobia... people who jump onto a thread about Bristol City fans arguing at an away day to have another moan that they can't sing homophobic songs anymore... because, y'know, political correctness has gone mad (or something similar that they've read in one of their back patting news subscriptions). It's also interest that the generation who are complaining about PC "gone mad" also flip out when called a boomer or a gammon or something. Ironic.

You realize you actually said that to someone else and not me right? Was just giving you a heads up tbh that using the phrase "OK Boomer" doesn't make you seem 'clever' or 'woke' but just makes it look like you can't think of an argument/reply/comment of your own so you have to resort to something as pointless as that. I also don't think the post you are referring to did infact belittle the issue of homophobia, it merely stated it didn't find it as bad as a full grown man steaming into and hitting a woman and trying to kick a child in the face, an opinion he has a right to state. Anyway, getting this thread wayyyyy off topic, just thought you should know how nonsensical that phrase sounds to most people. UTG

UTG I do realise you are not the person who shoe-horned in the homophobic chanting/violence comparison - but it is interesting that folks seem to be more triggered about the boomer comment than the homophobic one... BTW.. also very interesting your comment about "identifying as a saucepan".. you don't need to be "woke" to know that could be considered as transphobic... no matter how ridiculous you think that seems.

But, seriously, nobody seems as if they were 'triggered', I certainly wasn't, I was more saddened that this laughable phrase made it into this forum. Anyhow, I'll leave it there, this pointless discussion has already taken up more of my time then I wish to give it.

When I read what was sang about holding hands I found it funny. It’s a song in jest because Brighton is the gay capital. You don’t see the welsh getting on there high horses when sheep sheep sheep shaggers is sang to them, when clearly New Zealand takes that accolade. It’s called banter. Your seriously offended by a chant of we can see you holding hands. Some gashead proposed to his Mrs at half time at the mem many many years ago to the chant “does she take it up the ass”. Again that’s Dam funny. It’s not directed at any one individual in a physical way. Get a personality transplant.

The very people who demand that others, known to them as 'snowflakes', stop being offended by dodgy 1970s-type comments, are actually astonishingly quick to take offence when anyone else challenges their interesting views on life in the modern world. Often with the offer of a meetup in a car park and a free knuckle sandwich, in order to sort things out like real men.

It’s the new * whatever * isn’t it Never heard of it until yesterday Go sit in a University dorm with a bunch of snobby teens with trust funds and you'll more than likely hear it all night I would put it in the same intellectual bracket as 'Innit' and 'Safe bro'. It's what certain people use when they can't think of a coherent or reasonable argument to make back to someone so they use this. As was said by the other chap it's this generations 'Whatever'. Very clever eh.
