Signed for AFC Wimbledon on loan. As far as the Wolves Striker he was dragged off at half time v Man U on his debut, after he'd hardly touched the ball and hasn't appeared anywhere near the 1st team squad since. Apart from being on the bench for the Man Utd replay and also being on the bench for the Prem games against Newcastle, Southampton and Liverpool.

Signed for AFC Wimbledon on loan. I thought Wimbledon had no money as they had to find £11m to finish their new ground, I would have though Day would have jumped at the chance to play nearer to home in Bristol than travel to London. As far as the Wolves Striker he was dragged off at half time v Man U on his debut, after he'd hardly touched the ball and hasn't appeared anywhere near the 1st team squad since. Would any of our strikers have started in the first place?? Not unfair to judge him on that. He scored a hat trick in one of thier trophy games. Didn't score in the other 2 he played in though. Hard to judge any youngster, until they play senior football. But the fact he has played for the first team, is a good sign. Wolves are a decent side.

Blackman looks like a quality signing, especially as it is only a temporary one until Jaakkola is fit again. He looks far better than JVS with the ball at his feet, although the forwards still did nothing with it when they got the ball anyway! ! I expect Cardiff have probably loaned him to AFC Wimbledon for a low percentage of his wages. He wasn’t getting any game time at Cardiff so I’m sure they and the player were keen on getting something sorted. As for Blackman, I liked the look of what I saw from him on Saturday. Good distribution, quick off his line and all in all looked like an accomplished keeper.

Maybe we wanted Blackman over Day? He has played at a higher level and has more pedigree.

Had someone who works closely with Hartlepool say we’re interested in Gime Toure, being targeted by a lot of other clubs in SPL, League One and League 2, seems to be forcing a move, only 6 months left on his deal.

Sunderland did say they didn’t want to sell Grigg to a rival L1 side. Not sure if they class us as a rival or not but as we are a win away from the playoffs, they would probably be reluctant. According to the BBC Salford offered to take him on loan, Sunderland agreed but the player turned them down. Didn’t want to go down a level. But, as you say, Sunderland don’t want him loaning to a rival or possible rival. UTG!

According to the post’s Q+A, Rovers have been offered the chance to sign Benny Ashley-Seal on loan from Wolves. Also looking at defensive options so there could be some truth in the Haunstrup rumour. Someone told me about Benny Ashley-Seal possibly joining on the 6th. gaschat.co.uk/post/583445According to Peter o Rourke Wolves have now said that he can go on loan. But a few clubs are interested and they are weighting up thier options. They want him to play games. So a lot could depend on who agrees to play him the most.

From YouTube clips certainly looks interesting and can play wide or upfront. Good control, quite quick, can beat a man and a calm finisher. Local press up there reports agent saying interest from 8 clubs including us.
