Where did it go? When it launched, it promised weekly episodes speaking with players to gain insights about them away from the football pitch.
Now over 2 months on, we've only had two episodes with the last one published on the 14th of November.
I won't lie, I found the audio quality to be a bit rubbish and some of the questions mind numbingly boring but it had some promise. Will we see it back in the new year?
Probably started as a cool idea to produce homegrown content and then realised it's boring AF listening to media-trained interviewers asking media-trained players media-trained questions. Snooze - Gascast all the way lads.
They should just endorse gascast as official but of course wael wouldn't dare team with anyone who may criticise him
And that's probably the reason why forums and casts should be kept independent from the club. Gascast have got the constructive criticism element on their side though, which the club probably actually appreciate.... No chance on the forum though....

lol imagine for moderation mate - fruit market would have 5 pages lol
The thing that irks me though is that it was announced on Twitter with much fanfare and promised weekly content. They couldn't even deliver on that.
The fact that 3-4 lads can produce something in their spare time that is a lot better and way more consistent speaks volumes.
Always enjoy listening to GasCast.
Very true, it speaks volumes for how water poor our club is behind the scenes. TG does a good job but I expect a lot of what he intends to do, he cannot as his hands are tied.
It saddens, sickens and angers me on occasions like today I go into Broadmead and all I see is slick advertising boards covered in Bristol Sport. We are so far behind it's scary and the failure of In Close Quarters typifies this.

And this is the thing, the forum gives 100's of people a free rein, and that's the purpose I suppose. Just have to accept that it might be somewhat 'unpredictable'....
This is a bit of a random one but any chance of the club reviving this post Covid, maybe with one of the Gascast lads as a host now they’re in partnership and better recording equipment?
Whilst I don’t think it was particularly well done last time around, I liked the concept of getting to know the players and staff a bit better, it had a lot of promise.

The only think I would like to know is if they know where the bloody goal is.
Really enjoy Gascast just wish they would record more frequently, although understand why that’s probably not possible.
Guy I used to work with started a city podcast and they record after every match as well as frequent shows with members of staff, ex players and even with Steve Lansdown recently. Definitely an opportunity there for something similar for Rovers.
