So far off the mark. I could not work out the formation so God only knows what the players thought. Body language is not good. When GC took over he said he had to go back to basics. Methinks our players do not understand the technicality of what he is trying to do. To keep things simple we look a complete shambles! With the games coming up I cannot see where a win is coming from!

JVS: 6. Did nothing wrong, although kicking wasn't great.

Menayese: 7. Much better than in midweek.
Craig: 8 MoM. Didn't put a foot wrong.
Kilgour: 7. Solid as ever.

Rodman: 5. Tried, but was constantly on the back foot.
Upson: 3. Poor today, as Donny's midfield passed us off the pitch.
Sercombe: 6. Poor defensively, but a bright spark going forward at times.
Hargreaves: 3. Game went around him. Young player who will be fine though.
Leahy: 4. Ran ragged and may be in need of a break.

Barrett: 3. Looked very good against Stevenage but just didn't show today.
JCH: 3. This is our biggest problem, because we are over reliant on him. If he ain't fit, rest him until he is. If he is fit, he's incredibly lazy. Living on a reputation, not his performances at the moment.

Reilly: 7. Looked like he had a point to prove and was unlucky not to score.

Ref: 2. He is appalling, but so are most in this league.
Donny: 8. Along with Coventry, the best team I've seen this season. This is how I hope Ben wants us to play in time.

The defenders, Sercombe and Reilly, were the only ones to come out of that game with any credit. I hope our constant backing off was a result of tiredness, rather than tactics.

There were hints of what's to come. Keep the faith, true believers. BG's revolution will take time.

van Stappershoef 6 - distribution poor but otherwise ok

Menayese 6.5 - best game for a few weeks
Craig 6.5 - reasonable
Kilgour 6.5 - reasonable

Rodman 6 - good at times but under a lot of pressure defensively
Upson 5.5 - tried hard but exposed by our system as the only defensive midfielder
Sercombe 6.5 - I think in the formation he had a more defensive role but doesn't know how to defend. Seemed to take every deadball situation and therefore covered a large amount of ground. could not fault the effort. However number of poor free kicks and corners. A few penetrating runs though and looked our most dangerous player.
Leahy 5 - poor

Barrett 4.5 - looked lost and overweight
Hargreaves 4 - tried hard nut totally ineffective

Clarke-Harris 5.5 - moody and always a threat but lacked quality

Subs: Reilly 6 - we certainly improved when he came on and looked to have a point to prove

Doncaster 8 - seemed tactically to know what they were doing. Always seem to play well against us. Was a marked contrast to us where the system seemed confused and inadequate.
