Embarrassing. We're a laughing stock, and I do fear that the only way is down for us from this point. I expected a season of struggle in the summer, but GC had done a remarkable job. Since he has left it's been downhill and we're heading towards where by rights we should be given our water poor facilities. Will we get relegated? We shouldn't and I hope we don't, but we have to pick up some points very soon or the nosedive will continue. It wouldn't be the first time a club has bombed down the table in the 2nd half of the season and gone on to be relegated. We have to make sure we grind ourselves out of this rut, and meanwhile the board absolutely must do something about the training ground situation as it's a total farce.

Oh if only we owned some land where we could build a training ground fit for purpose.

The ground at the Colony is now seen by our owners as a property investment and not a training ground.
Turn it into a training ground and makes it harder to sell it for housing.
If they really wanted a training ground I reckon some engagement with the fans and we could fund it ..... Basically a few decent pitches and a cheap club house. With a bit of imagination would also bring the club some ongoing revenue which would at least cover the costs of running it, if nothing else the cost of renting elsewhere would be saved.
100% sure the Colony land is not an asset the BRFC will ever get to use as a training facility.

I can’t honestly think of anything good that I expect to happen right now, seriously. Geoff seems to have his finger on the pulse with the questions he asks and his failure to even ask about the fruit market suggests that that is probably not an option anymore so no sudden takeover. Starnes says the club is not up for sale. Maybe we might win a game in the next month? That’s probably less likely than a takeover. We’re more f**ked than a nymphomaniac in a dildo factory.

The lack of questions on the FM was far more likely due to that being declared off limits ahead of the interview than the possible deal having already collapsed.

I know the first one you’ll come back to me with “we still have a club to support”, basically the most low hanging fruit that there is to possibly pick in this situation. Anything else?

We are signing players in January, rather than not being able to get deals over the line as seen in previous Januarys.

GT by his questioning and Kevin Spencer, amongst others, on the Alternative Forum, and the B. Post all seemed convinced agents have been instructed to sell the club. As far as building houses at The Colony are concerned, given the ALQ's agents even b@lls up getting pp for some barns conversions the chances of them get pp for 100 houses on Green Belt land are probably slim at best. Good news wise I think all we can hope is we come out of the transfer window with at least as good a squad as we've entered it. Plus Ogogo returns soon and we stop losing.

I do admire the ignorance is bliss approach but it’s not going to get us very far because it’s quite particular to our ageing fanbase. What youngsters will want to go and watch a football club that is the equivalent of a tramp? No pride in itself whatsoever? If Bristol Rovers is even still here in 10 years most of the fans won’t be because we’ll all be too old and the youth will all be watching City or supporting prem clubs.
