Is anyone trying to follow the Trump Impeachment trial? What a load of nonsense! How much further are the Democrats going to disappear up their own arses? They are handing the next election to Trump on a silver platter.

I might be wrong here, but I think I read or saw something that they couldn't get rid of him because the Republicans have more Senators? than the Democrats, and none will vote against him. So its a pointless exercise.

So its a pointless exercise. Exactly. The Democrats are just making themselves look stupid as there really isn't a case to answer to. Trump may have made some mistakes over Ukraine, but in no way can it be classed as impeachable. Look at the 'Russian Collusion' case. Two years and 35 million dollars, and it came up with nothing against Trump. This will end the same way and all it does is give Trump more ammunition.

It's all about the forthcoming election in the eyes of the Democrats.
My personal view is that if he was confident he did nothing wrong then let John Bolton testify.
However I listened to Alan Dershowitz and I tended to accept his opinion. That was Trump probably did what he is accused of, but it's not impeachable under the terms and intent of the constitution.
Yes Trump is most likely to be the least fit person ever to be elected as President, but being so, in itself is not impeachable after he was duly elected by the electorate.
He made a very good point also when he said that there is a danger of impeaching based on politics rather than a breach of the constitution, which would set a dangerous precedent.

The precedent was set two decades ago, with the impeachment of Slick Willy Clinton. It was a futile exercise based on partisan politics, just like the events of today.

They are handing the next election to Trump on a silver platter. They`re straining every sinew, to ensure 4 more years for Donald Trump. He`ll portray himself as the President getting on with the business of running the country, while his opponents pursue their malice inspired witch hunt through the Senate. Crazy Nancy, indeed.

And as predicted, Trump is found not guilty. Meanwhile, the Democrats have their Caucasus in Iowa to fall back on......err....how did that go then?

And as predicted, Trump is found not guilty. Meanwhile, the Democrats have their Caucasus in Iowa to fall back on......err....how did that go then? It's a farce...The Dems embarrassing themselves in Iowa, The Senate not adhering to the rule of law and not allowing witnesses to testify, a Stare of the Union address by Trump that was the most embarrassing in the history of that great country. He is, surely, the least fit person to be President of the USA. As stated previously that is not necessarily impeachable...but this is not over.
