Confirmed via the clubs Twitter.
I for one am very proud of Rovers fans that toms going with the best wishes from many. Obviously hasn’t worked out for us but Tom always put 110% in and that can’t be easy when you’re going to get abuse for not scoring despite how you may perform in everything else.
Really hope he goes and smashes it.

I was never a big fan of Tom but it’s undeniable that he always put in a shift for us and was a good player for us. Nothing would please me more than to see him go to Cheltenham and find the back of the net on a regular basis again. Good luck.

Good lick TN. It simply did not work out here for you and everybody has their views on the reasons why. He may thrive in L2 but his time for us in L1 was little short of pitiful. £87k a goal apparently!

Good luck Tom a good footballer not appreciated here should do well for Cheltenham hope you prove people wrong I'd say the opposite. Despite plenty of online detractors, Tom got lots of decent support from Rovers fans at the games.
Good luck to him, but I think it was another case of Wael being asked to part with money that could have been better spent elsewhere.

Easy to say that in hindsight but when we signed him he was Posh's top scorer and MS knew him from Exeter, so it wasn't just some random punt on an unknown player.

I don't disagree, but we managed to turn a prolific goal scorer into one of the least productive strikers in our history. Yes he contributed in build up play, but managers and fans alike always wanted to give him yet another chance. I remember how Matt Harrold got dogs abuse, yet managed a 1 in 3 goal tally. Tom's tally at Rovers was 1 in 23.
If the £350k fee that we are reported to have paid for him is right, that is not money well spent by any measure.

Hope he does well scores a hatfull and away from the unnapreciative rovers fans. His amazing talent will shine through for all to see attracting interest from all corners resulting a lucrative transfer and us getting some of our money back.

Well we paid 350K and he scored 9 goals(in all apps, but cup games defo count so I won’t be having the nonsense that they don’t). Works out at just under 39k a goal.

I don’t see what the problem is here? Tom was paid to score goals which unfortunately he didn’t, if i didn’t do what I was paid to do in work I would be sacked! Definitely time for him to move on, as said before a nice lad and I wish him well. Personally I don’t think that he got that much stick (unless I’m missing something?), imagine that record for the sh** he would have been crucified or indeed most other clubs. Anyway good luck Tom. You label him a goal scorer and no, he didnt score but if you labelled him a creative midfielder /forward then he didnt fail and he wouldn't be the first player to change positions.

Was signed to score goals and didn't deliver over a 2.5 season period, we won't miss him.

Best of luck to Tom at Cheltenham. For his sake I really hope he does well there, as he's had a torrid time of it here. I really think he can still be a quality player, it's just his confidence was shot to pieces here after his long barren run. Sometimes players just need a new club to find their feet again.

Life must have been hard for Tom these last couple of years but he kept going and gave his best and I respect him for that. Wish him well in a move that gives him the chance to rebuild his career. I think it will come good for him at Cheltenham.

So Tom is gone. Amazed he lasted 2 and half years - out did Luke James.
What was your favourite goal of his in a Gas shirt ? Mine was .................................................................... I'll have to think about that.

It could prove to be the goal that either keeps us up, or if things improve with the new signings, gets us into the play offs
